Cozy, new, beach cottage with a spectacular ocean view - Point of View

Point of View is a gem of a place! Just an amazing property. On a beautiful beach, clean and comfortable house. Great kitchen. We went to Ava’s a few times for their fresh baked bread, makes for amazing French toast! Going in the off season we something I have never done before, no one was on the beaches. It was like our own island. I would definitely come back. Really liked being away from the main tourist areas. We lived it!

The cottage is cosy but no longer “new”. The BBQ is in terrible shape and the deck and railing are in need of repair. Although the host apparently lived nearby, we never met her and our written communications were disappointing.But the view is wonderful and the cottage itself was clean and habitable. We enjoyed the isolation but be prepared for a long drive to get food etc.

What an absolute dream! We appreciate the thoughtfulness, cleanliness, and communication we had while staying at this amazing location. Everything was so comfortable, relaxing and asking for anything else is just being greedy. We can't wait to be back. Thank you for your hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The view is beautiful, it’s very quiet (I think we lucked out because there are two homes quite close). The home is nice and clean - very comfortable bed, plenty of towels (for beach too). Very spacious, nice shower. The negatives were - it’s quite a drive to get to Georgetown (45 min drive at least), there are several steps to get in the front door and several to get down to the beach, the kitchen could use some additional items as cooking is required as there isn’t a lot very close. The host didn’t know that the oven doesn’t have any temperature gauge and also that there is snorkeling equipment available. There were 3 sets on top of the washer/dryer unit (which is in a closet - not a separate room as described in the profile of the home). All in all - we were comfortable and loved our trip to Exuma!!!

Everything was awesome - a nice cottage in a beautiful place! Sophia, Dani and Quintin were super helpful and the accommodations were wonderful. I never ran out of new places to eat and drink. Thank you Sophia!!!!

We celebrated 40 years of marriage in this beautiful cottage by the sea and could not have been happier. The view was to die for from the deck, the living room and bedroom. And the stairs that led down to the water was the most stunning view!! Especially for sunsets and when the full moon was out. The beach was dessertsed with just the two of us and we sat out everyday swimming and enjoying the view. The area is on the north end of the island and is very quiet and secluded, which is what we were looking for. There are nearby restaurants and stores for supplies. Shoreline was our favorite place to eat. The cottage was very clean, well maintained and had anything you could ask for in amenities. There were nice beach chairs, blow up floats, snorkel gear, plenty of beach towels as well as towels, wash clothes for the bathroom. Also lots of extra bed linens. It was fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, spices for the kitchen etc...we will definitely stay with Sofia again when we return to Exuma...you just can't get better than this! Alan & Kim

We just returned from our trip. We highly recommend staying here! It’s a wonderful house with a fantastic view! They provide just about anything you would need. You should probably rent a car since the house is located on the far end of the island away, depending on what all you want to do. Large deck accessible from the living room and also the bedroom. Large shower! Hopefully we’ll return someday!

Property eas very clean and right on a private beach as listed. Short drive to the beautiful cocoplum beach and a short walk to exuma point beach. Host was very helpful and easy work with.

The property is located in a less busy part of the island giving it a great private feel. Easy to get around with a rental car. The house was clean, right on the beach and a perfect size for 2 people.

Great little house ! Clean , well maintained and perfectly thoughtful ! Our own beach ! Nice drive to and from Georgetown but we didn’t mind it at all. Easy 15-20 min drives. Thanks Sophia !

You need a car but that is a givin for me because i want to explore. Well stocked and a great getaway with my gal. Would do it again.

This was our first trip to Exuma, and after staying at Point of View, we’re already planning our return. My husband and I have stayed in countless rental properties around the world, and this one easily ranks in our top three. It’s the kind of hidden gem you almost don’t want others to find, so it stays as peaceful and private as it is now. (But here I am, writing a review. lol)We spent our mornings swimming and snorkeling right off the beach in front of the house, especially heading north toward the pier and along the rock wall by the Point of View sandbar. At night, we loved stargazing from the deck and even spotted the Milky Way, absolutely magical!The house is beautifully equipped with everything you need to unwind and soak it all in.Other highlights included snorkeling at Three Sisters and renting a boat from Minn’s for the day, highly recommend! We truly can’t wait to come back.

House was as is in pictures. Very quiet and beach was awesome. Definitely need a car to explore and buy food. Will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful property! It’s in a very secluded area that allows complete privacy! It’s about a 40 min drive into town but it’s not a bad drive at all since they repaved all the roads over the last few years. We loved our stay and will be back!

Sophia communicated well and provided recommendations ahead of time, inside the home, and verbally when we saw her during our stay. She was quick to resolve very minor issues (we are very understanding when something unexpected happens, it’s all about how it’s managed). If you’re looking to be close to stores and restaurants, this isn’t your place to stay. If you’re willing to plan ahead and do most of your meals at the house or eat early and get back during daylight when it’s easier to see the roads, this won’t bother you. It’s 100% worth it to sit on the beach in front of the house with nobody in sight. We loved the beach just around the corner from the house (a few people but definitely not crowded) and a slightly busier beach a short drive away. We preferred this end of the island to the busier side. Would 100% stay here again.

Wonderful view although just a bit far from the main areas. If you are wanting a remote private location then this is it.

This was the perfect size cottage for me and my husband and the deck was big! The views and sounds of the ocean were so peaceful and breathtaking. The location was nice and remote, you will definitely want to rent a car, but driving to the stores and restaurants never felt like an inconvenience

Wish the weather would’ve been better but had an amazing stay. We have this place saved and we will be back and staying here again.

My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon. This property exceeded our expectations. It really felt like we had the Bahamas to ourselves in this beachfront home!

We loved our stay at Point of View! Exuma is breathtaking and we loved just sitting on the terrace taking in the view. For us the seclusion was exactly what we wanted and we would come back in a heartbeat!

Clean and tidy with everything you need for 2 people. The view is amazing , need a car as its at the ens of the island and get your food and drinks before heading out. We didint mind the drive at all, great way to see the island .

Really enjoyed our stay.

If you want a quiet place to relax and unwind, Point of View is the place for you. This charming sea side home has every amenity you need to unwind and unplug. We spent our days sitting on the porch overlooking the ocean, swimming and snorkeling right out back or near the pier to the north. One recommendation is to buy groceries in town and plan on eating most of your meals at the property. Another is to rent a boat from Minn’s for the day and explore the islands. Sophia was always responsive to questions and to provide information. We Loved our stay!

We can’t recommend ‘Point of View’ enough! We never wanted to leave! It was truly our own little bit of paradise! From the amazing views from the deck to the private beach area, from the beautiful and well equipped interior and comfy bed to the serene location… we couldn’t have wanted for more for our week’s stay on our honeymoon. We were so sad to leave! We have fallen in love with this island and recommend to any couples visiting to stay here. We kayaked off Exuma Point Beach and snorkelled and swam at Cocoplum beach & Hoopers Bay and saw sea turtles. We ate a lovely meal at Cocoplum Bistro and had drinks at Shoreline (amazing frozen rum drinks!). George Town is about half an hour away and there are plenty of supermarkets/convenience stores on route. It was a perfect location for us! A big thank you to Sophia for the stay. If we return to Exuma, we will definitely look to stay here again!
