First time visitors to Charleston and we could not have picked a better place to stay! The room was spacious, clean and cleverly designed. The location was close to all the fun on King Street but quiet at night. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!
I've never given a negative review before, but the Hideaway, a converted garage, had numerous problems I feel the need to save others from renting it. The photos provided online are completely different than the gloomy one room you will enter. The lighting is basically nonexistent. Ceiling lights are tiny and for some reason ORANGE not white. Once the sunsets, you will be in the dark. We had to use our cell phone flashlights to see. The walls are grey cider blocks. Electrical conduct pipes and circuit breaker panel are part of the decor. All the small tables are not level and your glass or book will fall off. The garage door windows are filthy and basically the only outdoor light.. The bathroom has one small towel bar and no place to put your toiletries. If you don't arrive in a compact car you will definitely have parking issues. Concisely: DO NOT even consider this room for your stay in beautiful Charleston.
We had a little issue with this particular property, but Stayduvet worked very hard to resolve the issue. And we were able to have a wonderful visit in exceptional accommodations. Very convenient to the historic area. We walked everywhere and felt safe. Thank you Stayduvet for helping us have a great time.
Great location.
