Stayed Apr 27, 2025It was affordable. If you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. The building is quite old and the apartment is on the second floor. The hall stairway is narrow and quite steep. The bed was surprisingly comfortable considering it has only a 3 foam mattress. The kitchen is basic with only a cooktop and oven, no microwave. The bathroom is VERY small with just a small European style stepped bathtub with hand shower only. If you enjoy taking leisurely showers, you will be dissappointed. The building is quiet with only the usual daily street pedestrian traffic. The location is about 800 meters from St. Marco square, so plan to get yours steps in. There is a grocery store nearby and a few restaurants that are quite good and more affordable than those located at St. Marco square. Anna is helpful and provides all the basics(good wifi) for a comfortable stay.

Stayed Jun 11, 2025Excellent choice. This rental is ideal for a couple. Easy walk to everything: food shopping, major attractions and the Vaporetto (recommend getting the weekly pass if you're going to be staying five days or longer). Quiet neighborhood. I most enthusiastically recommend this hostess, Ms. Anna Raimondi.

Stayed May 23, 2025Easy to find right off of the Riva di Biasio stop. Anna was very helpful in explaining everything including location. I liked that we were away from all the craziness if people, but could gwt anywhere by foot and a geocery store near by. All the amenities including washer was helpful.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A fantastic location. 5 minute walk from the train station where you can pick up the vaporetti to anywhere as well. Quiet street, 20 minute maximum walk to anywhere, often much less. Air conditioning was nice to come home to during the hot and humid Venice days. We were able to do laundry as well which was a huge bonus as we could put it in in the morning, hang it up when we came home to cool off after lunch and then it would be dry by the next morning. The only issue was the bath, it is tiny with a hand held wand. I would get rid of the bidet and reconfigure things a bit to fit in a small stand up shower. Big Master bedroom. dark and quiet, which I loved! Slept like I was at home!

Stayed Jun 15, 2019The property is very small and probably best for 2 people even though we made it work for 3. The bathroom is tight as the door does not open all the way and the shower one you must sit in and use a hand held sprayer. It was nice to have a washing machine. The woman who met us to let us in acted as if she was in a hurry and somewhat annoyed to have to meet us at the property. Overall the property served our purpose as we were there to sight see and did not spend much time at the residence.

Stayed Jun 23, 2019What a BEAUTIFUL little flat snuggled amidst the many Venice canals. Step out the front door and there you are, as one of the locals beginning your day. We loved staying at this place. We welcomed the fact that this flat had AC. Being in Venice during the summer can be quite hot. While the unit had a washer we elected to take the very short walk to a laundromat that stayed open until 23:00. Note: if you like your clothes completely dry plan on paying the extra 10 Euros (another 30 minutes) for the large container (or 8 euros for the smaller one) for a second cycle. They will be ready about 10 minutes into the second run. One other note, the steps to the 3rd floor (top) are very steep. Be careful when going up and down them. As I said in the beginning, a GREAT place to immerse yourself as s local! Hopefully we could do this again some time. Wes, Lori, & Wesley III

Stayed Jun 9, 2019We arrived in Venice by train in the morning.. Venice was very crowded with tourists already in early June. We asked Ann if we could at least leave our 3 suitcases & 2 backpacks at the apartment before checkin. Ann had to ask Maria the cleaning lady if she could meet us. Maria said not until one. I assume through all our communications Maria is the one in charge. Maria does not speak English. The apartment was a little hard to find because the names of the streets are not posted on the buildings. It is 2 floors up. The steps are very worn towards the top. We would not stay here again. The bathtub is very small. The water heater kept beeping. Most of the doors stick. The apartment needs maintenance. They left us one roll of toilet paper. Maria asked us what time we were leaving. I said 11:00. She said no and wrote down 10:30. If you do stay here When you see a round sign of a phone you are very close. It is about 10 minutes from the train station if you know which way to go. I would use one of the porters as it was very worth the €20. There is a Co-op grocery store very close on the small canal. Make a left out of the door then a left when you get to the small canal. There is a water taxi very close too. Make a right out the door and the next left. You can see the main canal from there. There is a great pizzeria out the door to the left. It has a green awning. The staff were great. We stayed there people watching until it closed at 10 each night. Everyone has their mobile phone in their hand trying to figure out where they are. We dod not use the water taxi. We got 2 day hop on, hop off boat tickets at the train station. It worked out great. Thanks for reading. Bruce

Stayed May 8, 2019This apartment is a short walk from the train station. Google maps helped us navigate somewhat-frankly, all of Venice is a bit challenging regarding street names and numbers. The apartment was clean and quiet. It’s very close to a grocery store, an excellent gelato shop which we enjoyed (Alaska), and also many restaurants. The person who greeted us only spoke Italian and was in a hurry but she did orient us to the apartment. Communication was good with the owner both online and with WhatsApp. Wifi was okay. The bathroom is much smaller than the photos show. The door can’t open fully because of the bidet and there are no hooks or sturdy shelves in the bathroom. The tub is very small with an uneven bottom and it was very slippery. My husband and I are small/average size people and we found bathing to be very challenging. Also, the layout of the apartment is such that house-guest clothing storage is in the closets in the living/dining room and there are no dressers, shelves or hooks in the bedroom. This apartment definitely maxes out with 2 adults inside as the living space is very limited. We usually ate out and we did not use the stove top or oven. We did enjoy our time in Venice and we spent most of our daytime hours exploring this amazing city.
