The description is accurate: Elegant In-Law unit, Looks like a small apartment. Joseph the host was easy to work with during arranging the booking, attentive but not intrusive during my two week stay. I made a few simple suggestions about low cost improvements, and he brought his handyman along to listen to what I explained and agreed with what I'd suggested. Don't be put off by the Berryhill neighborhood location. It's what some call a mixed neighborhood, and it is in the city of Harrisburg. The area varies from block to block, but I n ever felt uncomfortable or unsafe there. As in any inner city location, you have to use some common sense. The private entrance door has a sturdy electronic lock, no keep to use, just a simple code to remember. Some cookware and utensils are provided, along with kitchen cleaning and bath supplies to get a new guest started. Please keep in mind that this is a rental, not a hotel. If you stay long enough to want clean bedding and towels, you can take care of that at the clean Morris Laundromation location less than half a mile on Derry Street, a major city street. Unlike some older houses that I've stayed in, this one has adequate outlets in every room, better than many hotels. A window A/C unit in the dining area worked well on a few 80 degrees+ warm spring days.A modern gas-fired furnace supplies the steam radiators, with simple valve controls on each unit. This property is reasonably priced, with a host who cares about his guests. I recommend considering it if you'd like a place that's convenient to Central Harrisburg, and within easy reach of the West Shore. If you're traveling west across the river, avoid the South Bridge (I-83) during rush hours, as I did when I lived and visited in the area for 40 years. One last hint: leave the place as you found it, clean and orderly. You don't have to scrub the floors, but don't leave behind items that you brought in. The cleaning crew must be paid to remove these, and of course their services will be deducted from the cleaning and damage deposit. Joseph was reasonable about this, and the charge was nominal.
