Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Welcome to the Swallow House! Our beautiful 3-story, brick row home was built in 1902. It has the character of a turn-of-the-century house in the heart of midtown Harrisburg, while offering the comforts of an updated and beautifully styled home. With views of the Susquehanna River and being within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, the river trail and much more, this is a perfect vacation rental to enjoy the best of what Harrisburg has to offer.
The Swallow House is very spacious and well suited to hosting a single guest or an entire group.
The Kitchen has dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and oven, and is stocked with everything a guest would need for cooking and eating in (dishwater, utensils, pots and pans, blender, mixer, toaster, coffee maker, wine glasses, drink mixer, etc...) The fridge has a selection of condiments. Coffee and tea are provided.
The Dining Room and Living Room are in an open floor plan. There is a smart tv in the Living Room that can connect to any of your streaming accounts.
Each of the three rooms has a Queen size bed and space for hanging and storing clothes.
The backyard offers a 6 person hot tub where you can enjoy a quiet soak on your own or with your other guests.
What a lovely home! We stayed for two nights - heading to Hershey one day and splitting between Lancaster and Harrisburg the next. Soaking in the hot tub and taking a walk on the river made the weekend the perfect blend of sightseeing and relaxing! The house was beautifully kept, the beds were comfortable, and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. Would definitely come back here when we come to visit local family!
Wonderful place to stay to explore Harrisburg and the surrounding areas. We spent three days and visited Hershey Park, Lancaster and finished our stay celebrating the Fourth in Harrisburg. We took in a ballgame and mini golf on City Island as well! Host was very receptive and made sure we had everything we needed. Neighborhood is quiet and has a nice walking path along the Susquehanna River.
This property was perfect. Had everything we needed and then some. It was beautifully decorated with nice finishes. Location was great for us. Liked the proximity to the river and local restaurants. Felt safe and secure and was quiet despite the city location.
Ellie made accommodations of staying in her property very easy. She provided more staples than we expected and it was a nice treat. Beds were comfortable. It was our home away from home for 6 days.
