Stayed Jun 8, 2024Great location! Nice place with a very comfortable bed, full kitchen and new appliances. Pay attention to where to park. We had a lot of difficulty finding the tiny alley before the house to access the parking space behind the house. The Wonderer (pool) was a nice bonus!

Stayed Jun 3, 2026Our stay was lovely in decor and cleanliness. The location was excellent, complete with assigned parking space. The historic district was quiet and convenient, walking distance for eateries, and seeing lovely homes. We enjoyed the various books on Charleston, that were located in this VRBO. Including the guide book which had lots of suggestions of restaurants, historic places to visit, and maintenance details. We would definitely come here again for another visit to Charleston. Our weather was cooler with very little humidity,”not the norm“ they said, for this time of year. It was a beautiful getaway from our Arizona heat.

Stayed May 14, 2026Our stay was wonderful! It was a nice residential street. There were 4 separate units in the house we stayed in. It was private, clean, and quiet. It was like you were a resident in Charleston for your stay instead of a tourist in a hotel. We had a kitchen, laundry room, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. They had it supplied with what we needed for our stay. Publix was close by to pick up some snacks. I would highly recommend this place for your stay. We intend to stay here again- maybe even try a different unit for fun.

Stayed May 1, 2026The suite was exactly as pictured and advertised; check-in was seamless with the provided door code. We had an issue with the water heater and received immediate, in-person service to fix the issue (we had hot water again within an hour!). Everything was very clean - the bathroom was spotless and the included toiletries were generous enough for several uses. The suite is walking distance to restaurants and groceries, and we enjoyed strolling the neighborhood. We would stay again!

Stayed Apr 26, 2026The property was clean and quiet. Just a note there is a set of stairs leading from the entrance to the main floor to be aware of if you have suitcases. Also the alley Oliver Ct leading from Rutledge Ave to parking is very narrow. The parking is a tight squeeze as well. Overall the unit was how it was described and quiet.

Stayed Apr 20, 2026We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious and well-appointed apartment. While the unit is stocked with all the essentials, keep in mind that supplies/plates/bowls/silverware etc are provided in limited quantities. Also, note that while the location is great, we found having bicycles essential for our daily trips into the historic district.

Stayed Apr 6, 2026Comfortable, quiet, and convenient. Rutledge Ave was a great base for exploring Charleston and welcome retreat when we needed rest. Stay Duvet worked silently behind the scene, providing timely communication for travel and check in, and resurfaced upon checkout. Seamless. The unit was adequately furnished although the kitchen dining ware was a bit sparse, and contrary to representation, there was no dishwasher soap to run even the first load. We would recommend and book again on a return trip.

Stayed Feb 5, 2026Easy booking. Host is responsive and helpful with changes. The apartment is very comfortable, well maintained, and tastefully furnished and decorated. Perfect location, very close to MUSC and a beautiful walk to downtown Charleston, historic neighborhoods, and the harbor. We’d be glad to stay here again.

Stayed Jan 16, 2026Really nice place to stay. Bed was probably highlight - most comfortable bed anywhere (besides home). Great response times to any problems or inquiries. Only negative comment is basically no free TV - had to have streaming service to watch even the major networks (news, etc) or big sports events this week like NFL quarterfinals or NCAA football championship game.

Stayed Nov 7, 2025We absolutely loved our stay at Rutledge Ave! It was in the perfect location, walkable to many areas in Charleston and not a far drive if you wanted to explore. It was the perfect size for just the 2 of us. It had all the amenities we needed, clear directions for check in and check out and were very quick to respond if we had any questions. I would definitely stay here again and with StayDuvet. Thank you for making our trip so great!!

Stayed Aug 6, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at Rutledge Avenue Inn. The location and apartment were perfect. Check-in was easy. Everything was as stated except we had no coffee and no Kleenex. Stores are within easy walking distance, though, so that was not a problem. We will be back!

Stayed Jun 30, 2025This was our second consecutive vacation to Charleston and this property made this trip a lot more charming! It was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed. We love to walk so the location was perfect for us to walk to most of the places we had on our sightseeing list. I appreciate the communication I received from the property manager from the beginning of our trip until the end. When we return to Charleston in the future this property will be our first choice!

Stayed Apr 21, 2025Rutledge Ave Inn (Suite C) was an excellent place to stay. My wife and I enjoyed our spacious suite which had everything we need during our stay. The king size bed was super comfortable for a great night sleep. The kitchen was well appointed. It took us awhile to figure out where to walk in the city but king street was only about a 12 min. Walk. Plenty of shopping & eaters in the area. The parking is a little tight. We were happy that we rented a small car to explore the city & surrounding areas. The airport, beach, bars and more was so much fun! We would recommend this spot to anyone. That you to the stay Duvet team for answering all of our questions through the app.

Stayed Apr 4, 2025Our otherwise enjoyable stay was marred by our simple request for more toilet paper being questioned by management, an unfortunate first. Why Stay Duvet would want to cheap out on the quantity (limit of 3, as we were told) and quality (scanty) of rolls provided to guests is baffling to us, but there are many other options in Charleston. We were waiting for Nick Saban to penalize us for using too much toilet paper - oh wait, he is supposed to be poking fun at the other guys. The O in VRBO has certainly diminished in charm when you have corporate entities buying and renting properties and forgetting what made VRBO so great in the first place.

Stayed Apr 7, 2025The unit was lovely, mostly as advertised (the living room and dining rooms are darker than pictured due to the window treatments). The bed is hard but comfortable. The neighborhood was really pretty and we walked around quite a bit. It's a short walk to King St., which is a lot of fun. Rutledge traffic can be a bit noisy, but didn't keep us up. It's really a beautiful old house. The private entrance and parking spot were excellent! The food at Fuel, a 2 minute walk up the street was wonderful - we highly recommend it. Great place overall and the hosts are very responsive!

Stayed Mar 22, 2025Wow! We were very pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this place was and so accessible to so much. There were many, varied restaurants within a very short distance, downtown was easy to walk to or take the shuttle. Communication was great--couldn't ask for more! Would most definitely stay here again.Cyndie & Andy Rothschild

Stayed Jan 6, 2025This is a quiet, comfortable and spacious second floor apartment that provided everything we needed for our two night stay. Park on the street in front of the property to unload your stuff, then put the car away in back during your stay. Walk two blocks to the Riverwalk and Historic district and be entertained.

Stayed Nov 30, 2024This likable one-bedroom was in the Cannondale neighborhood, about a mile from the heart of the historic district. It's a handsome late-19th century area that's undergone a lot of renewal in recent years. Several great restaurants and coffeeshops nearby. AND it comes with a parking spot.
