Delicious apartment Porto Santo Stefano central tourist port

Fantastic apartment, close to everything, clean and comfortable, super cozy, with every amenity at your disposal. Our family stayed at this property 5 days in August and it was a bliss. The apartment is located very close to the promenade, which is very important, as Porto S. Stefano has steep hills to climb, so closer your are to the promenade, the better. Grocery stores, fish markets, and all top restaurants is a short walk away. Beaches can be accessed by a free bus, or you can walk to the nearest beach - Cantoniera, which is accessed through the abandoned railway tunnel (don't rely on google maps) and within 15 minute walk. The apartment was beautifully decorated, with all amenities (stove, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, shower) new or nearly new. Beds were very comfortable and AC was super cold in both sleeping rooms. Owners were super helpful and arranged for the parking pass, so you can park the car behind the pr. We had an amazing stay at Porto Santo Stefano and we loved the apartment!

The appartment is located right by the boardwalk where all the nice boats are docked and where you can find all the stores, restaurants, trattorias, ice-cream stores, farmacies, banks, the post office, etc. Another key factor is that it's situated just one street above the seaport and on the first floor of the building, so there are no stairs (this is nice because the town is built in a steep hill with many, many stairs and hills to go up to the streets on the top). There is a small supermarket and a bakery just next to the apartment, very nice to buy some stuff to have breakfast at home every morning. The apartment has all most important amenities and appliances (I would add a microwave and a toaster, though). It was redone from top to bottom a year ago so everything is brand new, and it shows. The mattresses were very comfortable, there is a TV in each bedroom, the apartment was very clean, the AC and WIFI work really well and even the windows are brand new so, even though you are steps away from all the action, it is very quiet in the apartment at night. All the essentials you may need are already there for you so we didn't need to ask the owners for anything. They had already though of everything. There was a book with all the info: from bus schedules, beaches, tourist information, maps, suggested driving routes around the island, ferry excursions to nearby islands, etc. to instructions on how to work all the appliances, dispose of the garbage, arrange things for the check out, etc. Finally, Daniella and her mother were very nice people, they were flexible with our time of arrival, they met us to give us the keys, arranged for a car to take our luggage from the bus stop to the apartment, showed us the apartment, explained everything and kept in touch with us through our stay, answering any questions, and on the day of our departure we were able to leave our suitcases in the apartment until the time our bus for Orbetello was leaving. I really cannot think of anything negative to say. I recommend this apartment to everyone!
