Stayed Oct 3, 2016Quite a small, traditional apartment, but comfortable enought for two. Great support from Nina, both on arrival and later in the week when our gas lighter needed replacing. The real strength of this apartment is its location. Five minutes from St Marks, six from the Rialto puts it just off a main tourist route, but good restaurants easily reached if you are prepared to walk a couple of streets away. Locally there is a takeaway fresh pasta place a minute away, a lively chicceti bar even closer and, just past it, a super tiramisu shop if you need desert! Supermarket also very handy. The location enabled us to visit much of Venice on foot or by vaporetto during the week. Recommended.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in the apartment for 4 days, and we got in love with it. Great location in the middle of everything- this is the main quality- it got you chance to came there at middle of the day , get same rest, and than continue to explore later in the evening. The apartment is small, but it got everything what needed, well equipped kitchen, good bedroom and bathroom. The host- Ninochka explained us everything there and was very nice. Supermarket ready gives the additional points. We certainly recommend this apartment to family of 2-3 people.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The location was outstanding. We received very detailed instructions on how to find it, and we walked straight to it. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Nina and Francesco were very kind and knowledgeable about the area and made great suggestions about what to do and where to eat. It was close to St Marks and close to the Rialto bridge - which made it close to everything! It was nice that there was a grocery store very close as well. Venice is better than we had imagined. No cars, and you could walk or take the water bus everywhere. The shops and restaurants were very fun and all that we experienced were excellent. We can't wait to go back. We would certainly stay in this apartment again next time!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I hesitate to comment on the directions I received via email from Nina. Frankly, I got lost and it was the start of a beautiful love affair with Venice. If you don't want to get as lost, keep reading. Where she says, go 'over the statute', draw a straight line from where you enter the piazza and find the portal to the next part of the directions on the opposite wall (there was a green neon sign above it when I was there). Do NOT go down either of the walkways at the very end of the square or you will wander around for 45 minutes like I did. Nina's word 'subway' means the mini walkway-bridges over the water. Besides the rocky start, the rest of the stay was fabulous! I loved the location of the place - so close to Rialto and St Mark's but just far enough away that you almost feel like one of the locals. The bed was comfy, the kitchen included olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the counter - a true sign that you're in Italia! All the rest of the quirks to this place are part of it's charm. I'm still trying to decide what DO NOT BLINK THE GATE means on the sign on the back of the alleyway gate. (don't change it Nina - it's part of the mystery of Venice!) Which brings me to the lovely landlady Nina. So supportive and thorough. She made it easy to imagine that my first vrbo experience wasn't going to be my last!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This apartment is in a great central location, but very quiet, as it faces an inner courtyard. Everything worked as it should, including the air conditioner (also very quiet), and wifi. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This clean, well-appointed one bedroom apartment is ideally located. It is less than five minutes to the Rialto Bridge and to St. Marks Square. A great grocery store is one minute away. Our hosts were attentive and helpful. We stayed a full week and were very comfortable. The kitchen, though small, was well-equipped, and allowed us to buy locally at the fish and vegetable markets and cook at home. A small drawback was the occasional rattling of pots and dishes from the restaurant that shared a nonaccessible courtyard, but it closed at a reasonable hour. We highly recommend this charming place.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a nice apartment for 2-3 people if you want to be right in the heart of the action. The apartment is just a 2-3 minute walk from San Marco, 7-8 minute walk to Rialto Bridge, Rialto Market and vaparetto. This area can be crowded with tourists but also has many restaurants within a short walk. It was pleasant to be able to spend evenings in San Marco with only a short walk back to the apartment. The building is located on Calle Casseleria (small “alley” at the end of Salizado Lio. Casseleria is not even on some Venice maps ). The apartment, Casseleria #3, is on the third floor. 20 steps up a manageable staircase. The apartment met all our needs. It is exactly as shown and described in VBRO. Kitchen had all the necessary cookware and utensils (not that we cooked very often). Bathroom was clean. Shower was comfortable, plenty of hot water and good pressure. There is a washing machine under the stairs that is shared by the 3 apartments in the building. It came in handy. No noise from the other apartments. Apartment felt very secure. First, unlock an iron gate to enter a small plain courtyard which has entrances to a few different apartment buildings. Then unlock the door to the apartment building then another locked door on the apartment itself. There is a good size grocery store just around the corner. Some folks avoid apartment rental due to the additional logistics involved but the owners made the process very easy. We have rented apartments before and this was by far the easiest process. Emails from owners were very clear and concise. Paid deposit via Pay Pal. Owners provided clear direction how to get to the apartment (although Venice can be a challenge finding your way even with the best directions. The directions from the Rialto vaparetto take you over only one canal bridge with a few stairs so not too much of a struggle with the luggage). Marina (the owner’s mom) was very cordial and met us at the apartment, collected the balance, explained the apartment and we were done in just a few minutes. Just as fast as checking into a hotel.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were very pleased with this apartment. The location and description and photos of the apartment were accurate. The apartment was very clean and all the appliances worked properly. We found the apartment quiet and comfortable. The apartment is in a central location and is an easy walk to all the primary attractions and had a supermarket around the corner. We would recommend this apartment our friends or relatives. The apartment does not have wifi access but this does not impact our rating.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in this apartment with our two daughters in mid June. The apartment is a nice size, and well decorated. The nice little kitchen comes fully equipped, and thoughtfully included seasonings, and other things you would otherwise need to buy if you want to prepare a meal. It was perfect place to enjoy breakfast with food from the market before spending the day exploring Venice. I was amazed at how close it is to everything, once you get yourself oriented, it is a very short walk to Piazzo San Marco, Rialto Bridge and Market, and all of the other sights of Venice. The owners were very helpful, his Mother helped us out and was kind enough to show us to the apartment when we got slightly lost on our way from Rialto the first day. She made sure we know where everything was and how they worked. They were also kind enough to mail back to us a few things we left behind. All in all a great authentic place to stay for your visit to Venice.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Thank you Nina and Francesco for the nice apartement. Nina was an especially gracious and helpful hostess. She made sure to meet us upon our arrival and took the time to make sure we were well settled in. The apartement was clean and spacious and indeed very quiet. Great location also so close to San Marco with all the amentities near by. We would certainly recommend the apartment to others. Next time we hope our schedule allows a longer stay in Venice. The four days we had there were a little short. Even though we didn't great very good weather the city is fantastic!!
