Stayed Oct 10, 2025Abdul's place was beyond my expectations. I truly loved everything about it. The house is so cozy that I didn't miss my own home at all. It’s equipped with all the essentials a house should have. Along with the basics like towels, blankets, sheets, toilet paper, and paper towels, he also provides coffee grounds, honey, paper filters for the coffee maker, tea bags, and cream. In addition to the standard kitchen appliances, there’s an electric kettle and an air fryer too. Parking was a breeze; I parked right in front of the house, with plenty of space on both sides of the street. The next time I visit Michigan, I’ll definitely choose to stay at his place again.

Stayed Jan 24, 2026We had no heat all day Sunday when it was single digits outside. I asked where the thermostat was at noon and got excuses all day. At 4:00 I sent a message saying that we'd give them one hour and then we'd have to leave as it was freezing cold. Finally, at 6 p.m. someone showed up to turn on the heat in the downstairs apartment where it had been turned off by the tenants who had moved out suddenly. The property manager tried to blame me for not getting back with him to tell him we hadn't closed the vents. Seriously? Why would we close them? They had worked beautifully all night long. Besides no heat, the window shades in the bedrooms were in tatters, there were rodents chewing on something in the walls and floors, and after 6 of overnight snow, I asked if there was a snow shovel to shovel the sidewalk down to the street and was assured maintenance would be there to shovel the sidewalk- they never showed up. I'm waiting to hear about a refund for the one night, but it looks unlikely. Renter beware: if you ever have an issue with a VRBO rental you must contact them while you are in the rental to get any satisfaction from VRBOCare. In all fairness I must confess that because the house was so cold, there were 4 glasses left in the sink unwashed. All towels were in the bathtub and an extra comforter was left on one of the beds. This is the first bad review I've ever left. :(

Stayed Jul 25, 2025Only 1 A/C unit making the apartment extremely warm, except for one room. Neighbor was screaming early morning at his girlfriend. Very clean, though. But not worth the cost.
