Stayed Oct 13, 2025The great parts: This place was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the location is perfect (only a block away from the WWII museum!) The air conditioning also works surprisingly well for an older building! Some things to remember: This is an old historic building. Floors creak. The appliances aren't state of the art. The bathroom doorknob is almost falling off which means the door doesn't always close. There is a small hole in the bathroom ceiling. This is a second floor apartment, so you will hear every little step taken by the people above you. The front balcony isn't accessible, only the back balcony.WARNING: if you are parking in the garage, read the directions carefully! We went through the door on the back wall instead of the door on the right wall. We ended up in a locked (and dark) alley surrounded by high walls and locked gates. That certainly was not a good way to start our stay.

Stayed Sep 20, 2024We stayed in the front unit on the second floor, and it was fabulous for us. We will stay here again in a heartbeat if it's available. The unit was well-stocked, the bed was very comfortable, and the location quiet and incredibly convenient for everything we wanted to do. We appreciated the enclosed garage space. We enjoyed being able to walk safely to everywhere, including the French Quarter. The stairs are steep, though, so this place is not for anyone who might need an elevator.

Stayed Aug 12, 2024Wanted to head to New Orleans and wanted to visit the National WWII Museum, so looked in the area. This place could not have been more perfect! We were 1 1/2 blocks from the museum. We drove and secure parking was included- definitely big plus! The area is quiet, artistic and relaxing. Very different from Bourbon Street area which we loved when we were younger. The apartment was great! Definitely vintage, and that was the added charm. Very high ceilings, pocket doors, balcony, great King size bed and a very French/ New Orleans vibe. The owner and his help were very responsive when I had a question. Just an fyi, those very high ceilings mean a large staircase since we were on 2nd floor, but we worked it all out and got some exercise. Location was great for walking to the museum, but also a great rooftop happy hour at Rosie's on the Roof at The Higgins Hotel. Secure parking allowed us to drive to different areas and enjoy restaurants in the Garden District and on Lake Ponchatrain. Even my husband commented that this was one of the coolest places we've stayed. We will be back the next time we need that New Orleans getaway! vvibe.apartment

Stayed May 22, 2024The property is as listed on the web site, it is big and spacious and was ideal for my wife and I for 5 nights for our first visit to NOLA. The apartment having a parking space available was a real bonus, it was only a short Uber ride from most places we wanted to visit and the fantastic air con is invaluable in the heat of NOLA

Stayed May 15, 2024A newly moved thermostat was not working and the owner worked tirelessly to get it fixed for us as our dog was staying in the apartment all day. He even offered us another apartment for a night. Once fixed, the apartment was stellar. The historic building and location were ideal; a half block from Peche, a highly rated restaurant, and just several blocks from our new favorite Sea Worthy-a genuine oyster bar. The WW2 museum is only steps away. I cannot recommend this apartment enough.

Stayed Apr 12, 2024Twenty/twenty-five minutes will take you into the heart of the French Quarter. Frankly, with the food in NOLA, you will need the exercise to work off the excess! In a good way. The flat had everything we needed and I loved the super comfortable bed. There is a fantastic supermarket a short walk away and several good restaurants around the corner as well. Being away from the French Quarter is a great idea as it can be a bit chaotic. The flat is a little oasis of peace in a busy city.
