Cottage in Cigarral de Toledo with pool, terrace with views and FREE WIFI

Nestled in the countryside just on the outskirts of the Toledo River, this cottage will give you the best views of Toledo. Yet, it’s close enough to walk over the bridge and into the old city.

We stayed here 4 years ago and wanted to return because it was such a wonderful holiday. Its a lovely appartment in a beautiful location, our hosts were generous and friendly.

Teresa and her sister were wonderful hosts for a stay in Toledo to attend a wedding. The property is exactly as pictured with jaw dropping views of Toledo. Catalina and her daughter met us for our stay after accommodating an early check-in. Throughout our stay she was always available to answer questions or call a cab. And her mother even drove us to the train station on our final day. It couldn't have been more lovely. House is outside if the city - but if your a little adventurous there are roads and paths that make it a pleasant walk into town. Wonderful visit with wonderful hosts!!!

Very helpful owners. Easy to follow the instructions to find the house. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, fresh fruit , water, milk, local buns, biscuits and olive oil., which was nice. Very clean, quiet and spacious apartment, even though the owners live in the same house, which also gives a sense of security. Great AC, even on very hot days. Great views of Toledo and olive groves from the apartments’s terrace. There is no oven in the kitchen area, but a microwave and 2 cooking hobs and all other utensils are included. The road leading up to the house could be difficult for some people as it is neither tarmacked nor lit at night and quite rough under foot, but okay by car. Wifi works very well, except for one of the bedrooms, where the signal is very week. There are a few steps leading up to the apartment, and no other access. On the whole a very nice and peaceful place to stay. We would advice a car ,though, especially for grocery shopping.

Great panoramic views from terraces and from living room Lots of space both outside and inside. Very nice quiet surroundings. Helpfull and friendly hosts. Helped with a lot of quetions and had bought some milk, bread, fruit and wine for us prior to arrival.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment (husband and 2 daughters aged 15 and 11). The apartment had everything we needed for a great stay plus so much more. The owners are welcoming and friendly and provided plenty of information to enhance the visit. The apartment overlooks Toledo and the view of this medieval city from the balcony at night, with the city lights shining is so beautiful. The pool is lovely and provided cool relief after a day trip to the town. Toledo itself is very interesting and bustling and must be very high up in places to visit. We invested in a hire car, which I think is needed if you visit in the summer. The apartment is well situated but is up a steep unpaved road, uncomfortable to traverse when the thermometer exceeds 40 degrees. By car it only took 10 minutes to reach the free Safont carpark, which is a short walk from the series of escalators that take you up to the centre of Toledo. The apartment has really efficient air conditioning in every room, very user friendly. The owners were very generous in what they provided, plenty of towels (including pool towels),kitchen treats, cakes and biscuits even a selection of flavoured teas. The rooms are artistically decorated, plenty of books, games and interesting nick knacks to peruse. Meticulously clean but homely and the wi fi works, which pleased the girls. In short we loved it and would come again and stay longer. Top tip, on finding place, its best to use map and not just rely on sat nav, as there are 2 entrances to home, the main entrance is much easier and direct (road up not great but you get use to it ).

Really impressed by this property we had a great time here and can’t thank the owners enough. Only down side is the rough lane which provides entry which would not be easy for those with walking difficulties or in our case coming back from a bar! Our kids loved the pool at the house and we thought the there was a high standard of accommodation throughout. Great value and can’t recommend enough! Thanks Pepe!

Spectacular, charming, clean, elegantly appointed, gracious, helpful and adorable hosts...Breathtaking views of Toledo from balcony of the apartment...Walking distance to center of walled Toledo, but walk is hilly and could be challenging to some. Road into villa is unpaved. Overall an incredible and memorable stay. Highly recommend!

We had a very lovely stay in this apartment. It is very comfortable and the owners had made every effort to provide everything that could be required, even leaving coffee and some breakfast provisions. The view from the terrace is simply stunning and well worth the walk into town. The apartment allows for a great combination of relaxing time by the pool and strolls into and around Toledo. We would recommend it.
