Palacio Munarriz is located in the old town of Toledo, 22 MINUTES BY AVE FROM THE ATOCHA DE MADRID STATION, which in turn is located in the heart of the Museums of the capital.
Despite being in Toledo, given its proximity to Madrid, many of our tenants stay here and visit Madrid during the day, along with Toledo, which is a great city.
The palace is located five minutes walk from the Cathedral of Toledo, in a privileged situation and with magnificent views.
It consists of a large entrance, a staircase that leads to the main floor, three double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, three large living rooms, an indoor dining room, another dining room in a patio, full kitchen, laundry area, toilet guests A wonderful garden and its pool overlooking the Tajo valley. The pool is open in summer time. From June until September. It has a garage for two cars, they cannot be big because the access through the old town of Toledo is complicated, so we recommend coming from Madrid on the AVE fast train, but if you want to come by car there is a garage.
It is a real gem in the old town of Toledo.
You can enjoy all the areas that appear in the photos. A couple of caretakers live in a house independent from the house that will give them total privacy, but if they need it, they can assist them with questions or contact the property. The pool is for the exclusive use of the tenants. It is open during the season.
It is next to the Cathedral, in one of the most beautiful areas of the Old Town of Toledo. From Madrid you can come by AVE, whose price is very low and it takes about 22 minutes, and walk around the city on foot, since using the car in the old town is practically unfeasible.
People who are not guests are not allowed to enter the house.

This beautiful location was more than we could have dreamed of. Every room was stunning! The outdoor courtyard and pool were beautiful. Though large and spacious we felt comfortable and at home. We would recommend this location to anyone visiting Toledo!

We traveled with four teenaged boys and had a wonderful time. The palace is magnificent. Rosario, our host, and the caretakers gave us wonderful hospitality. The pool was fabulous! The palace is truly a museum and we enjoyed viewing all of the beautiful art, architecture and furnishings.

My daughter and I loved staying in the Palacio and chose it for its beauty and historical nature. There is so much to study, explore, and admire about this home. We enjoyed every room - ate our meals together in the formal dining room - experienced eating at a super long table, played checkers with the chess set, read and had cocktails in the “Red Room”, basked in the sun and comfort of the “TV Room”, and took in the tranquility of the living room. The courtyard was especially nice to sit in when the sun shone down on it in the afternoons. The beds were beautiful and comfortable; plus, the sheets and blanket coverings were perfect. The location is an easy walk to any- and everything Toledo has to offer. We completely enjoyed our stay and would definitely rebook this Palacio in the future.

How to begin? The palace is an absolutely wonderful, unique place to stay in Toledo! From the moment of booking, Rosario was very kind and professional, and communicated with us as needed. Hicham, the guard who lives on sight, was available for any questions but never intruded. We felt honored to be guests in such an historic location! The home is very well equipped with anything one might need in the kitchen and bedrooms. The beautiful, peaceful, private patio is perfect for cocktails, meals, or just relaxing. Indeed, it was hard to leave each morning! Staying at the palace gave special meaning to being in beautiful Toledo. We hope to return!

Staying at this property is an experience to make memories through. Imagine exploring the 2000+ years of history in Toledo and the incredible art, and then retreating to an oasis in the middle of the city. The palace could be a museum itself and we loved exploring its' treasures. Even more I enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard with a priceless view of the Cathedral and city. We stayed in late March to early April. The flowers and trees were just blooming, and a wonderful subtle fragrance filled the air. Birds were singing and coming to the fountain for a drink. At night, the Cathedral was lit up. I would have to have pages to describe this stay. It is one of a kind. I am so thankful to Rosario for sharing this unique one of a kind restored palace with me and my family.

Our visit to Palacio Munarriz and Toledo more than lived up to our expectations. The combination of Rosario's warm welcome, the extraordinarily furnished accommodations, with an innumerable, interesting pieces of art and furniture, and the glories of Toledo made out 48 hour visit much too short.

First, our host Rosario was wonderful. She provided advice on travel to the palace, sights to see in Toledo, day trips to Madrid, food markets and finally restaurants. The housekeepers Hicham and Carol were available 24/7 to help with questions regarding our stay at the palace and were very helpful. As for the property, it is difficult to provide a succinct response other than to say Spectacular! It provided all of the conveniences for a comfortable stay. The art work displayed in the palacio could rival a first rate museum. And finally the courtyard grounds provided stunning views of Old-town Toledo. We were simply overwhelmed with it's beauty. It was truly an experience of a life time. Muchas gracias Rosario, Hicham and Carol!

Not many people can actually say they had an entire Palace to themselves for their Holiday… and it certainly will be a memory I hold onto forever. The property isn’t for everyone… but if you appreciate history, antiques, art and the idea your footsteps walk amongst ones for centuries before, then this is an experience that you will be thankful for. What I loved most was the outdoor space, the views, wondering the hallways intrigued by the ceilings, art and various rooms. I was fascinated by the structure and the materials and quality of it all. The location was outstanding… Cathedral, groceries, wine & cheese shop and souvenirs all within a 5-10 min walk. You NEED to be very mobile in Toledo as there are hills everywhere. We walked on an average 5 miles a day while in Spain. Toledo was the most strenuous and you need good sneakers or you will not do well. The sleeping arrangements worked well for us (2 couples) with 3 bedrooms all en-suite. The mattresses are firm. There are air conditioning units in each of the bedroom areas, which are all off of one shared hallway. The bathrooms had nice natural light and good hot water. The WiFi worked well in sleeping quarters and outside. The Host Rosario was lovely, accommodating and easy to reach. Her caretakers were friendly and helpful. I’m thankful for the experience to stay in a Palace and grateful for people like Rosario who put trust in renters like me, who want a little something different. It was our third time to Toledo and the best yet ! Looking forward to our visit next year already ! Thank you Rosario!

I’ve never stayed in a real palace before - and now I have! This experience drops you right into ancient Toledo close to all the sites and city center. But you also get to relax in luxury with beautiful fountains, your own pool and more historic art than you can shake a stick at.
