Excellent accommodation. Very homely and comfortable. Lovely garden to relax in and enjoy. Only one thing required is a larger blanket for the bed. It was a double and a queen size would have been warmer.

Sonningview starts with such a warm welcome from your host. Following the garden path past pear trees, roses and an English garden you'll find a very private retreat for two with every need catered for. Local buses run frequently and are easy to use with a little bit of a walk each way (less than 500m). The views across the Derwent are stunning and Sandy Bay and Long Beach best pizzas in Hobart are very close by. Can highly recommend staying at Sonningview.

The hosts Janina and Gary are very gracious and interact warmly with travellers. The property is in a spectacular location, with view and garden surrounds adding an ambience for a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely host, great location

Wonderful views and a great location for our long weekend stay in Hobart. Comfortable lodgings with attentive, responsive hosts. How nice to have that first morning breakfast supplied and to be able to pick from the garden. The driveway, as most of Sandy Bay, is steep but manageable but free driveway parking is always a plus.. Having a washer and dryer in the apartment was much appreciated.

A fab self-contained garden apartment in a beautiful suburb of Hobart. Good parking and easy access to public transport, Hobart CBD and Sandy Bay facilities. Wonderful support and communication from host Janina. We can't recommend this accommodation enough to all ages adults.

Wonderful place to stay , lovely outlook (from the bed) to the garden & Mt Wellington. Very thoughtful little extras ( Jamdrops provided by the host ) bus stops nearby , great views of the Derwent from the front of the house.

Overall was good. Janina was just lovely and accommodating. She provided tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc. Everything supplied and bed was comfortable. You would assume the photo shown in the advertisement was the view from the accommodation. However it's the view from the house in front so we found this a little disappointing. Overall not overly roomy but as I said everything supplied.
