Comfy, Cozy Beach Apartment for Two with Adjustable King Bed!!!

Cathy was an awesome host! We were so close to the beach just a 5 min or less walk. The beach was really beautiful and really big (enough for me to do my daily runs!) The Octupus Lair will always hold a special place in our hearts because we got engaged on the beach 6/19/24 during our stay. it was absolutely perfect. The bed was super comfy and the futon was perfect for daily naps. The TV had a roku. There was a cute little backyard with a brand new outdoor patio set! There's a hose to wash off your feet after the beach right in the front and the parking is safe for your vehicles off the road. The washer and dryer were a great perk so i didn't have to pack as many gym clothes. 10/10 are going back (if she would have us!) -Amanda and Billy

We actually rented both floors of this property and enjoyed our stay in this very cute cottage. Owner definitely did a great job supplying us with extra towels, linens and cleaning supplies. The place was very clean. It needs updated electrical outlets and the existing recepticals are worn. Also could use ceiling fans and tv in bedrooms.

Cathy was fabulous and friendly while booking! The octopus lair was adorable, had everything we needed and the location was perfect to park the car and be able to walk to everything! Perfect experience, couldn’t have asked for anything better!

The home was lovely. It was clean and exactly how advertised on VRBO. Cathy, our host, was very accommodating and easily reached when needed. I would highly recommend her home/apt to anyone going to Tybee wanting easy access to the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We had everyone we needed. Plenty of blankets, towels, and even a box fan.

Our host communicated wonderfully. She even gave us tips and information about Tybee Island. Cathy is the BEST! The Octopus Lair was charming, cute and comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner a few nights. We had plenty of spare bath and beach towels, blankets and more! We loved this place. All the comforts of home. We will definitely return!

This place was quaint and in a perfect location on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our time!My only complaint would be that the futon needs upgraded for better comfort and the shower needed some TLC.

I booked this apartment for my proposal trip and it was everything we could have asked for. The property was absolutely gorgeous, the owner was so nice. Location is close to everything. We want to make this our yearly spot.

Our best friends were staying in the upstairs apt and celebrating their 50th Wedding anniversary.We decided to surprise them and rent the downstairs apt.We only stayed 2 nights but we all enjoyed seeing each other and the cozy apts and porches.

It was great! We couldn't put the key back in the lock box.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Octopus’s Lair. It was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We loved that we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go - the beach, restaurants, stores, the big pier, Back River Beach, etc. We’d stay there again.

Fantastic little place with everything you need for a beach property. Nice full kitchen and cozy bedroom and bathroom. Served perfectly as a home base as we explored this neat little island. Short walk to the beach and even shorter walk to the market that had everything that we needed to cook. Would definitely stay here again.

Emphasis on both nice, and little. If you’re looking for space, this is not the place for you. But if you’re looking for a nice place, nicely laid out, great kitchen for its size, in a great location, you can’t go wrong with this place. Close enough to the restaurants, beach and fun, but not so close that there are crazy crowds/noise. Great communication, easy check in and out too. Would definitely stay again

Upon arrival at our booking we found another renter in the apartment. We tried reaching the host by phone, text, email, and through the VRBO inbox service once we realized we could not access the space we rented, with no response.

Clean, comfortable, five minutes' walk from the beach. Couldn't ask for more.

It was a cozy and beautiful place.

Octopus Liar was perfect for 2 people. Very clean and had everything you needed for your stay. Everything was within walking distance including shopping, eating and the beach. Only complaint was noise from upstairs guest. Highly recommend this rental.

This was our first time staying on Tybee Island and we had a wonderful time! We will be back
