Conveniently situated at the heart of the village, with views from the large front window to Loch Long and the Clyde Estuary. The loch & River which are often busy with maritime traffic including submarines, merchant ships and cruise liners.

The village Post Office for almost 100 years, this ground floor property was tastefully re-modelled as a studio apartment for couples or single travellers. It has been a popular & well reviewed let for over 10 years.
With the space designed to provide comfortable accommodation for a relaxing holiday, to the front of the property is the bright and airy living / sleeping area.

A door to the back yard gives access to the outbuildings which house the washing machine, tumble drier, airer, iron & ironing board. A washing line is available in the back yard.
A little more on Blairmore.
Blairmore is one of four ‘shore villages’ which hug The Holy Loch & Loch Long.
The pier is free to use, and is great for fishing or taking a stroll to view the ‘Arrochar Alps’, whilst looking out for porpoises & seals. In the summer the world’s last sea going paddle steamer the ‘Waverley’ calls to pick up passengers for a sail down the Loch.
On the edge of the village a local farm provides activities such as quad biking and archery. Also in the heart of the village, the family run ‘The Blairmore’ eatery serves hearty Scottish Breakfasts, quality meals with locally sourced produce as well as delicious coffee & homemade cakes. They also have a wee shop with quality gifts & some ‘deli’ gifts for foodies.
Lots of adventures into the hills,  or level walks along the shore start right outside the front door. Within walking distance in the neighbouring village of Strone is a great pub, golf course & tea shop.
The village has an hourly bus service to the seaside town Dunoon, on the way passing local attractions such as Kilmun Arboretum, Kilmun Mausoleum, and Benmore Botanical Gardens. Dunoon is just a few miles away and has a swimming pool, fitness centre, museum, traditional High Street, & supermarkets.
Alongside the great views & services on hand, being located in Blairmore within Scotland first National Park means there is beauty, nature & wildlife in adundance as you explore the area.

Our host Steven was very welcoming with early communications and in person. There is a nice view through the picture window of the loch just across the road. And just next door was a lovely gift shop and restaurant with wonderful scones. My only regret is that I didn't book a few more days.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of staying in an old post office. The accommodation is comfortable & has everything you need. Steve, the host, who met us at the property was very friendly & helpful. For us the best part was the view of Loch Long & watching the boats come & go. We were lucky as the puffer boat moored up at the pier & we got to go aboard to have a look around. Highly recommend.
