Comfort Found Literary Lodging

This property was ideal for our stay in Damariscotta. It was super clean, comfortable and had amazing coastal Maine charm. Jeff was a perfect host. Attentive and communicated very effectively making sure we had an ideal stay. The location? Please! It couldn't be better. Right in the center of this quiet and quaint village. In the heart of shops, restaurants and small businesses right outside the front door. If you are thinking of staying here do yourself a favor and book an extra night. Trust me, you will wish you had. Am I planning on coming back? Does a lobster roll have mayo?

The cutest little coastal apartment ever!!

Unique apartment filled with books and decorated with charming antique signs. Great views and location right on Main St close to shops and restaurants. Owners very caring and responsive.Note: The stairway is rather steep and twisty and at 73 with a bad knee, it was a bit of a challenge.

We had a great stay at Comfort Found. Check-in couldn’t have been easier, the hosts were communicative and helpful, the apartment was comfortable and inviting, and the location was perfect.

What an absolutely AMAZING accommodation! The owners are great communicators and genuinely a pleasure to work with. Terrific central location close to everything. Everything was exactly as described. No surprises -- except pleasant ones!!

This apartment is very clean and has a beautiful view of the water. During our stay the weather was extremely hot (in the mid-90s) and the air conditioner kept each of the rooms very cool. I could not be more pleased with our selection. It's location is very convenient, quiet, and has a beautiful view. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

I booked this location at the last minute, as my expected lodging fell through. I must say I am so glad it did! Literary Lodging was a gem of a place to stay, and I wish I could have stayed longer, at least to finish 1 book! The location is right in the middle of Main Street, so it was so easy to walk most places that I wanted to go. The apartment was clean and very well provisioned. It felt like home. I will stay again when I come back to Maine!

If entirely modern, perfectly plum, and exactly level are on your list of requirements, this isn't the place for you. If, on the other hand, you would prefer a well-loved and cared-for apartment with modern amenities that feels as though it has been hosting and housing people for a century, full of books and charm, and boasting a view of the water, and a door right on the main street, then this is the place for you.

I really enjoyed my stay at the apartment. The kitchen had all the amenities I needed, and I was able to choose the bedroom away from the main road to avoid traffic noise. Jeff and Sharon were easy to reach, and even called to check in when I arrived. Overall, it was a great location, right in the heart of Damariscotta, and easy access to nearby attractions.

This was a charming apartment in a charming little town in Maine. It was located in the heart of the town that was abundant with shops and restaurants. The owner was very attentive in communicating with us about our stay and making sure we were comfortable and up to date on the city's parking challenges. We would definitely stay in this location again.

Loved the place, all the books, and being in the heart of Damariscotta. Appreciated the parking space. It was an easy ride to & from Watershed.

What a great place! Charming, breezy, well stocked with towels and linens, and water views from the front AND back! Everything was clean and worked well and if you love books then you are in for a treat. Right in the center of town and steps away from the best croissants at Barn Door Bakery. Hosts are great communicators and life is sweet and easy here. Enjoy!
