Colosseum Penthouse with Spectacular 360° View from the Rooftop Garden

Everything you want for a stay in Rome. The location just steps from the Colosseum but in a true local neighborhood was wonderful. Our host pointed us in the direction of delicious restaurants and a terrific produce stand so we could really enjoy the area. We got lots of steps in, walking to Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and everything in between. We were in the middle of a heat wave so used uber/taxi a few times and it was very easy for them to find us. The rooftop terrace and many balcony/terrace areas make this place extra special. Our host was gracious, communicative, and helpful. Highly recommend!

The only word I can use to describe our stay is amazing! The place was centrally located. The air conditioner worked very well even in the hot June month. It was quite. The view from the terrace was amazing after a long day of touring. I would stay here again and would recommend it to everyone

We had a fantastic stay at Raffaella’s place in Rome. The location could not have been better, just steps away from the Colosseum and within walking distance of many of Rome’s most famous attractions.One of the highlights of the property was the rooftop terrace. It is truly a hidden gem, offering beautiful views across the city and a perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing.The apartment provided plenty of space for our family and was comfortable throughout our stay. Raffaella was an outstanding host. She was friendly, welcoming, and extremely responsive whenever we had questions or needed assistance.I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Rome. We would gladly stay again on a future trip.

What a fabulous apartment! The mid-century modern building and apartment are stylish and comfortable. The neighborhood has some excellent restaurants, but is mostly residential and quite quiet. The real crown jewel is the rooftop terrace: just as lovely as in the photo, with a panoramic view. We had a wonderful stay.

Rafaella was very accommodating as a host and very hospitable. The apartment located very close to the colosseum, forum and Circus Maximus. If you want to cook, there is a supermarket nearby and the apartment is well stocked with cooking implements. An enjoyable stay and the sunsets on the roof are amazing

This was our second stay at this wonderful apartment, and it was just as perfect as the first time. The location can’t be beat — right in the heart of the city and only two blocks from the Coliseum. The rooftop deck offers absolutely stunning views of the skyline and the Coliseum itself, and we enjoyed some unforgettable sunsets up there.The apartment is filled with beautiful artwork celebrating the city’s history, which really added to the atmosphere and made the stay feel special. Everything was exactly as shown in the pictures, spotless, and very comfortable. The kitchen and dining area were impressively well equipped — stocked with more than enough cookware, dishes, and glasses for everyone.Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the hostess was friendly, responsive, and incredibly accommodating. She made everything so easy and pleasant from start to finish.We can’t recommend this VRBO highly enough — a true five-star stay and a place we’d gladly return to again and again!

Great location, wonderful host.

We absolutely loved the location near the Colosseum and ended up walking to a lot of things we did. Great neighborhood restaurants and a Carrefour Express just a five minute walk away. Our host met us on arrival and showed us how every works and gave recommendations on some lesser known things to see. The apartment is well furnished with comfortable beds and the kitchen has everything we needed to make our breakfasts before heading out to explore. The combo washer and dryer took some figuring out, but the directions are in the homeowner’s manual, as are directions for everything else but the stove, which is gas and straightforward. Water pressure is excellent. The elevator was super convenient and we felt perfectly safe at all times in the building, and in Rome, for that matter. Extra blankets were provided, as well as hand soap dispensers. Laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs were also provided. And Nespresso capsules were available. We did not use the drip coffee maker. Last but not least, the views from the three levels of exterior terraces were unforgettable. There is construction going on nearby during the day, but we were out and not bothered at all. Amazing location, amazing property and an even better property host! The location is perfect as its on close to everything and it is very quiet at night. We could have stayed at the property for a month!

Let me just tell you - this is the place to stay where you want to not simply find a place to stay but experience how to live as an Italian and immerse yourself in the local lifestyle. Raffaella is a wonderful host and understand, the penthouse apartment has been with her family since her grandfather built the building originally in the 1950’s. It was a treasured experience to be in this beautiful place and enjoy the amazing views in the roof top patio seeing not just the nearby Colosseum but St Peter’s Basilica and Rome surrounding you. This really is a place to enjoy an epic family journey - one our family will remember always and we hope to return one day to enjoy again those views from the rooftop patio that are unique and amazing. This one is not to be missed!

Spectacular location (less than 400 steps from the Coliseum!). We only had a short stay and didn’t make use of all the amenities, although we did enjoy the sunsets from the rooftop terrace. The owners were fantastic- greet communication and very accommodating. Raffaella met us in person to give a tour. I very much appreciated hearing about how they have purposely maintained this property that has been in her family for generations.

This was our home away from home for a week-long stay in Rome and it was a 5-star experience across the board. It's a perfect location with amazing views from the terraces. Everything matched the description and the check-in process was very smooth. The hosts are wonderful and extremely responsive. We look forward to a future stay!

We had a terrific stay in the colosseum apartment. The view from the terrace was spectacular...the pictures don't really do it justice. The apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The AC was a blessing, since Rome was scorching hot. Raffaella was a lovely hostess. We wouldn't hesitate to return again!

What an amazing penthouse minutes from the Colosseum! The host welcomed us with a bottle of prosecco and history of the spacious home. With 3 terraces that boast great views and fresh strawberries, herbs and lemons to enjoy, this home made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We could not get over the amazing views and how much space we had-great with two teen boys! And the elevator helped after walking 20,000 steps each day. And the home stayed cool in the Roman Summer heat. We hope to return one day, Grazie Rafaela!Wish I had more photos, mostly took great videos of the terraces

We traveled Europe for an entire month with our family and this VRBO was the absolute best place we stayed! The view from the rooftop was breathtaking every single time. The location and Walkability was amazing and our house Raphaella was super nice and a great communicator. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Don’t forget to try to outdoor shower - that was such a fun thing as well!

Great stay in Rome. Apartment is centrally located, with lots of space for a family vacation. The outdoor space is amazing and makes this such a desirable place to stay. The owners were extremely gracious and communicative. Would stay here again!

This was the most wonderful trip, and we remarked daily how perfect the apartment was, glad that we had bumped our budget to book this beautiful place. The views from the wrap-around AND rooftop verandas were amazing! We used the verandas every morning and evening. Breathtaking sunsets and views of the city. The Colosseum is right next door (less than one city block) which was fun to see and walk around daily, and also made it very convenient to get around the city, as many busses and metro come to the Colosseum area. Many nice restaurants, gelateria, and market within walking distance of the apartment. Good place to see the city without needing a car to get around (if you have a car there is parking nearby but it is filled with tourists during the day). The apartment was very relaxing, quiet, beautiful, and nicely appointed. Bathrooms were modern and clean. Verandas had many plants, ample seating, and views we'll never forget. The host was very kind and accomodating, and had great local suggestions. Go to every single restaurant she recommends! We had such a wondeful time, I hope we get to return soon. I would love to stay in the same apartment again, it was such a magical place. Not many people get to experience Rome from a beautiful penthouse rooftop veranda. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Central location makes it easy to walk to so many points of interest. The unit is very comfortable and the views are wonderful. Even has some edibles planted on the rooftop terraces. Owner went above and beyond for me during my stay. Would highly recommend and hope to come back.

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment in Rome. The terraces & views are amazing! The apartment was clean & had everything we needed, the owner met us on arrival & showed us around as well as recommending restaurants & shops in the local area. I would highly recommend this apartment.

The main part of the apartment is very spacious. The third bedroom with bath is pretty small, strictly a single. The terraces are really big and unheard of in any other apartment I have ever rented. The unit is a little tired and could use some upgrading, that said I would definitely recommend it to any friends and I would stay here again.

The location was absolutely perfect for our 4 days in Roma! You will not find a more beautiful home and location anywhere near Roma!
