Stayed Jun 19, 2025Cocooned in the hillside, this little cave was perfectly cosy and beautifully decorated. Close to everything in Amboise, and yet it felt tranquil and secluded, with everything we needed for our four night stay. The terrace and private garden were a joy to relax in, and our host Mireille was brilliant. The highlight of our trip to France

Stayed May 19, 2025Amazing experience living in a cave. It has been decorated artistically with Leonardo De Vinci quotations and his art. The mosaic pieces are colourful and fun. This was all done by the owner who is an artist. It was definitely a labour of love!

Stayed Sep 19, 2023Here you are steps away from the action but tucked back in utter silence. The room was comfortable and was well attended to by the host. Two wishes were for a nicer garden patio area and WiFi.

Stayed May 21, 2023This little troglo/cave cottage was unique but very comfortable. Just the right size for a couple. Amboise is a wonderful town and a great place to use as a base for the Loire Valley. Merielle, the owner is very nice and helpful.

Stayed Oct 1, 2022We’ll be telling everyone we stayed in a Castle. Not entirely true but close enough. This small studio style apartment is in a cave at the foot of the Castle. Excellent location. Nice and clean with a nice friendly host Mireille. Maybe a little humid but after all. It’s a cave!
