Charming 4 bedrooms Apartment with Amazing Terrace and Fairytale Garden

We were a three generation family (grandparents, parents, two kids) and it worked great for us. We enjoyed being in a neighborhood and outside the main tourist areas, yet close to everything via walking or Vaporetto. Everything was clean, comfortable, and as advertised.

The main apartment was really lovely but the 4th bedroom in the downstairs studio was unusable. The bed was covered in flaking plaster from the ceiling so we couldn't use it in case it fell on us while sleeping. The room smelled very badly of mould as well. The position of the apartment in Venice was great - away from the crowded areas. The air-conditioning in the living area didnt work the whole time we were there. The co-host said the repairman would fix the next day. Every day we were told the same thing with no-one ever turning up. This was disappointing as we paid for air-conditioning but only had it in the bedrooms.

This apartment was very well appointed, with more than enough bedding, dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment. Beds were extremely comfortable and the layout of the apartment provided many choices for both socializing and solitude. The apartment was as described and spotlessly clean when we arrived. We were greeted by the owner and the property manager, both extremely gracious. We were a family group, three couples and there was plenty of room for cooperative cooking in the kitchen. The apartment is in a residential area of Venice, a short walk to a vaparetto stop and only a stroll away from GROM (Rick Steves favorite gelato in Venice). a nearby restaurant the owner recommended was a delight. The book for the apartment is very complete and the owner was quick to respond to questions. The only thing you need to master is the vaparetto system. Once you figure out which lines stop where and get your bearings for direction, you are minutes away from everything. It was a wonderful trip and a luxury to be able to see the sights in the off hours to plan around the cruise ship hoards. The decor is beautiful and we feel very lucky to have found such a beautiful and affordable option for our 12 day stay in Venice. The flat is not wheel chair accessible but it was only one flight up so our special needs family member managed quite well.
