The bright apartment is located in the basement of a pretty old family home on the outskirts of Ludwigsburg between the city center and the teacher training college. It has a south-facing terrace, a living room and a bedroom, a small bathroom with shower and a kitchenette, as well as cable TV and WiFi. The double bed is 140 cm wide. There is a sofa bed in the living room, which offers two additional beds if required.
The way from the parking space on the property to the house is about 40meters long and not suitable for the disabled. There is always a shady or sunny spot in the huge garden.
The nearest bus stop is 150 and the S-Bahn is about 600 meters away.
The castles of Ludwigsburg with their famous parks are within walking distance and the baroque Christmas market is also not far away. Jogging or walking in the nearby Favoritepark, canoe tours on the Neckar and with the S-Bahn in 20 minutes in Stuttgart city center - there is a lot to discover.

One star is for the helpful landlady and the beautiful garden. Otherwise we were disappointed with the apartment. To start with parking is tricky to say the least. The property is next to a busy road and you cannot always cross the road to enter the drive without driving to the next crossroad and making a U-turn. The apartment itself is in need of an update. The kitchen is tiny. There are only two hobs to cook anything on. There's no microwave or a normal oven, not even a toaster. There's dust, spiders and cobwebs everywhere and it feels very damp. We even had to wash some plates and cutlery before we could use them. One plus is that if you use public transport, the property is well situated.

Although slightly dated and a kitchen that was very small with minimal equipping we found the overall experience to be very enjoyable and that setting in the middle of downtown was amazing
