This place was nice, clean, and comfortable. As first time international travelers to Europe we had a lot of anxiety about how to get around and with not speaking the local language and all it was a bit overwhelming prior to making contact with our host. Once we booked and made contact the anxiety started to melt away. Our host was so helpful. She helped us know how to get from the airport to the vrbo and met us at the dock and walked us to the unit. Once we were at the vrbo she continued to be supportive. This is the type of place to stay if you like to live and be with the locals and not in a touristy area. It was very quiet and peaceful. Great restaurants, bakeries, and cafes were a 1 minute walk away. San Marco Square was a short 12 minute walk away. We stayed 4 days here and it was a great base for us to explore the area. The place is very small, especially the bathroom, but my wife and I are both small people so we were able to function in it. The benefits of the location far outweighed this.

Very small but still a good choice for the great location.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be well located and had everything we needed. Property owner was lovely, giving us lots of information on ferries and water taxis and any other amenities

We had a wonderful stay in our cozy central appartment in Castello. Elena was an absolute star, supporting and helping us with transport when we had flight delays and making sure we were ok in our digs. Walking around on foot and using the vaporettos allowed us to experience our trip to the full.

We really enjoyed staying here. Our host, Elena was lovely. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was functional, and you have your own private backyard! We explored all over Venice, and decided that this quiet neighborhood was an ideal location. Make sure you get the rundown on the hot water heater (there is a trick to getting a complete hot shower).

The hostess Elena made me feel so at home I hated to leave (never mind share it!). She thought of everything - all the little details that make for a comfortable stay. It is not an apartment for large people (the men in my family are very tall and would not have fit in the shower or at the table well), but is perfect for anyone else. I loved the location - the less touristy feel of a neighborhood stay, easily walkable to supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, vaporetti, and all the tourist attractions. The private garden was magical, the washing machine and kitchenette practical conveniences, and the owners helpful and kind.

The apartment was pretty much what we expected. We wanted a place to sleep and cook because we spent most time walking around venice. We had a nice garden outside witha table which was pretty nice for breakfast and the bed was fine too. Although the bed wasn't the most comfortable we slept fine and everything else worked too. Considering the price and the amazing location it was a good stay :)
