Saint George's, Saint George
A perfect location for those visiting Grenada on business or pleasure who prefer to be within walking distance to the picturesque town for shopping and restaurants with easy access to all attractions and business venues. Comfortable and fully equipped, this fully-furnished two-bedroom apartment also has two full bathrooms accommodating up to four people with a beautiful view overlooking St. George's harbor and Grand Anse beach. Private parking is available for those with a car to explore the island. Regular buses to all parts of the island pass on Old Fort Road below the apartment. Airport service can be arranged upon request.
The apartment didn’t come up to our standards. The apartment needs major refurbishment and facilities are poor.
Casa Blanca is fabulous! And Bob and Leslie are the nicest hosts who live above you. P.S. The balls in the freezer were meatballs, I had used some of them in a spaghetti dish a few nights prior to us leaving… ;) The P.S. was for the owners. Lol
Every evening we sat out on the balcony, overlooking the harbour and the views beyond, fabulous.
We stayed at St. Georges for 10 days and had a wonderful stay. The view from our apartment was spectacular and the facility was top notch. Our hosts were very helpful, courteous and by the time we had to leave, it felt like we'd known them for years. When we arrived, the Grenada Health Ministry required us to quarantine for 2 days and our hosts stocked our apartment with food that we had requested in advance. They even assisted getting our dinner order delivered from the restaurant across the street from the apartment, which was very convenient. We were able to see the island freely from this central location after the quarantine was over. The dedicated parking space for our rental car was a nice feature too. The next time we visit Grenada, we're staying here again.
Bernard's apartment was perfect for our week in Grenada. Comfortable and well-equipped, we had everything we needed. We were walking distance to the market, carenage, cruise ship port and, best of all, the Yacht Club. The views from the apartment were a continuous entertainment: cruise ships, container ships, super yachts, plus all the smaller craft whizzing in and out of the Port Louis Marina. Buses were available to take us to the Grand Anse beach (we loved the Umbrella Bar) but we also used taxis, which didn't seem outrageously expensive. All in all, a great place to stay on a magical island.
The apartment is as described, the view is beautiful! Bernard is so accommodating, he picked us up from the airport and stopped for supplies on the way, he was able to provide a small BBQ as well. The bus is convenient to the apartment making it easy to get around.
Bernard, the owner, was extremely helpful and very pleasant to do business with. The apartment is quaint, charming and well appointed on a quiet side road. but Great views of the harbour! Will definitely recommend.
The rental is ideally located for access to the city and outlying areas. It's a plus to have off street parking in the city. The two bedroom unit is spacious with adequate furnishings but some updating would enhance the space..
I wanted to spend a week in the town of St. George's. This is a great location to do so, with a nice view. You're in town, which means it can be a little noisy in daytime and music in the evening, but it didn't annoy me at all. And miracle . . . . Grenadians go to bed early to get up early. On a certain moment, de town is dead silent! Great! The host, Bernard, is a super friendly and very helpful. There were two downsides. The apartment deserves to be cleaned much better. I started cleaning myself! The other thing: I like to cook and prepare my own healthy meals. The kitchen facilities were a casual collection of left over forks & knives and pots & pans and the like. It was OK to cook with, but not pleasant to work with. If these two problems were solved I would recommend the place to people who want to stay in town for a little while and explore the streets of St. George's and the numerous little alleyways and stairs that connect the streets. Plus: I didn't need a car, I took buses, which leave from the bus station 10 minutes away. Another Grenadian experience!
