Cardinal Cottage - Otsego Lake access, updated kitchen & bath

We had a great weekend at the Cardinal Cottage. The cottage was cozy and in a beautiful secluded area near the lake. Our kids loved seeing all the birds and animals around the house. Thank you Nanette for being a wonderful host and allowing us to stay in your home. We will definitely be back!

Cardinal Cottage is a lovely cottage in a quiet neighborhood with a lake view. The cottage is very clean, well decorated, and very well stocked. We spent a week there and there wasn’t anything that we needed that wasn’t provided. The remodeled kitchen and bathroom are beautiful and very functional. There is also a screened in porch that we used extensively for relaxing and enjoying our meals. The grounds around the house just add other areas for relaxing. We didn’t take advantage of the fire pit or spend any time at the lake, but both are available.

Cardinal Cottage was great. We loved coming back to the peace and quiet after a busy day of baseball. Nanette was a very attentive host. Great place to stay.

Our stay at Cardinal Cottage was perfect. Nanette made sure we had everything one could need except personal items. The house is a close walk to Lake Otsego-which is a beautiful lake and a must see if you’re staying here. The house was very very clean and the grounds were peaceful and well taken care of. An easy 15 minute drive to Cooperstown where there are plenty of shops and restaurants and about 20 minutes to Cooperstown Dreams Park which is what brought us to Cardinal Cottage after searching for a nice affordable home to stay in and relax after baseball games.

The cottage in Cooperstown was so beautiful and peaceful for my family to stay in. We were there for my grandson’s baseball tournament at Cooperstown dreams field. The host was amazing offering recommendations of things to do and local restaurants that were delicious. She was very responsive and communicative. I would definitely stay there again. The home is as pictured beautiful and clean all the kitchen amenities you need .

The house is very clean and had everything we needed. We didn't cook while we were there, but it was very well stocked if we had wanted to. There's even a Kitchenaid if you're in the mood to bake. Dish soap, hand soap, laundry and dishwasher detergent were even provided. The bedrooms have AC to keep it cool and comfortable for sleeping. While there's no AC in the main living areas, it wasn't too hot as the house seems to get a good amount of shade and there are fans in the house. The temps were mostly in the low 70s the week we visited (Aug 2-8). It's only 10 minutes to the Village of Cooperstown for shopping, dining, and the Baseball Hall of Fame. The only thing that would have made it better would have been the proximity to the Dreams Park, which is about 25 minutes. We knew this going into booking the house, so it wasn't a surprise and the drive is a very easy one.

The Cardinal Cottage was a super cute cottage right outside of the downtown area! The host has everything you need for your stay. The area is quite and sits where you can see portions of the lake. The drive outside of town is beautiful and we got to see some different wildlife on the way to and from the ballparks. The home is very clean and has cool antique decor with modern touches. The outdoor patio and screened in porch was a neat place to sit and relax. The property owner was super easy to work with and had gave us some great places to go while we were there! Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at Cardinal Cottage. Nan was so great to work with. House was adorable. We were there for Dreams Park tourney and were 13 minutes from Main Street (amazing by the way) and about 21 minutes to Dreams Park. Being close to the lake was a HUGE bonus. Gorgeous water and just a special place. We could have stayed another week!!!

We were there for the Cooperstown experience for my son. It’s very nice and it’s very spacious. We would stay here again.

Loved the property and the owner was so sweet and accommodating. If your want a very private and quiet experience this is a winner!
