Stayed Apr 17, 2023I’ve stayed at four locations in Tours since my daughter studies at University here. I LOVE the older couple that own this. Completely charming old fashioned manners that make sure YOU are taken care of. The location -near the Cathedral, many restaurants, a supermarket ( 1 min walk to Carrefour) and close to the bridge so you can walk across the Loire. The apartment itself was spotless and comfortable. The little parking lot across the street is free and if you are lucky sometimes you can grab a spot. The outside gate is a little tricky at first so practice w the owner the first time! I would have liked an oven but that’s just me. Bottom line, RECOMMEND!

Stayed Sep 21, 2019The apartment is comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed and more. The apartment is right next to shops and restaurants. In addition Monique and Jack were the friendliest of hosts, very accommodating and informative of the local area, they made our stay very enjoyable.

Stayed Jun 29, 2019Monique and Jack are the most welcoming hosts. The apartment is in a great location with plenty of restaurants and bars in Rue Colbert. It is an easy walk to the train station and the river and bike paths are just minutes away. There is a supermarket just a few minutes walk from the apartment. We very much enjoyed our stay in Tours.

Stayed Sep 22, 2018Monique and Jacque are very friendly and helpful hosts. The apartment was well supplied to get the visit off to a great start. Though you are steps from the walking streets and the lively social scene, the apartment is quiet at night. The apartment is half a block from the legendary Loire Valley bike trails and there is space to leave your rental bike in the alcove, so that it's convenient for a multiple days rental. If I return to Tours, I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Sep 5, 2018This place has an efficient design with everything in the kitchen for cooking and comfortable relaxation. Location gives great access to local restaurants, bars and train station. Host and husband give you a wonderful French greeting to this city. Perfect base for exploring.

Stayed Jul 17, 2018The lovely owners left figs and fresh tomatoes from their garden and they were delicious and some confiture which was homemade. All in all a very pleasant stay in a comfortable gîte.
