Boutique Luxury Stay @ Matakana

Property was modern, clean and really nice with great use of space. Excellent location, short walking distance to the main part of town with lots of food options and the brewery across the road was a great place to do a relaxed beer tasting while listening to some live music. Would highly recommend and will likely stay here again.

A great small space for a short stay. Everything was fresh and clean. Right in the main street near the market. The only downside was there was only a winter weight doona and we slept badly because we were so hot.

Great little modern and cosy unit. Super clean and tidy. And really nice local toiletries to use. Tiny but perfect size for 2. Only mins from eating establishments, all within easy walking distance of the wee town centre. The outdoor area with the outdoor bath is an added bonus but we didnt use it as its still pretty cold, but I imagine the hot evenings it will be fab. Nice little touches with bubble bath and candles, bathrobes, and outdoor towels. Inside heating is electric - heats the unit nicely. There is no oven, but is a stovetop and microwave oven but you wont need it as the eating places on offer are pretty good. Laurence and Cassie really quick with responding to any questions too. Great little place!

My husband and I had a lovely time away. Location is perfect. We settled in (check in was super easy) and then headed over for dinner at Jin Jins (great portion sizes). We then wandered down to the movie theatre and surrounding area for an evening stroll then headed back to the accomodation for a few drinks in the outdoor area in front of the fire pit. In the morning the markets were on so again we strolled down the road, had breakfast and meandered around the markets before beginning our trip home. Very relaxed and enjoyable. There was also lots of stuff going on for those who are keener on a busier evening (movie matinee, the pub was lively, lots of dinner/cocktail options available). Highly recommend!

Matakana is a vibrant place with great restaurants. We were travelling back home from Auckland and on our way up North we needed a stay over. The units are in a central position and a short walk to the restaurants is great. Thank you. Gloria and Graeme

It was great. Only issue was the frustrating app at checkin was not working well. Resolved eventually, but could have been easier.
