Boothbay Open Plan 1- Bedroom Apt. Woods & Water. Southport.

We enjoyed going up and down the coast, this was a great spot to call home. Stocked well enough for cooking, which we didn't do much of (not good idea if trying to lose weight. But so many great places to eat). Bed was comfortable and I tend to be the Princess and the Pea. Enough space to spread out. Great road to walk down and back for a little exercise. Hosts were wonderful to work with and met our needs well. Overall would stay here again.

The place is very clean, has all the basics, and is close to everything you want to do on Southport and Boothbay Harbor. Nice quiet street and very responsive owners.

The place is beautifully situated, wonderfully quiet, and, what we liked perhaps best of all, dark enough that the stars seem big and bright. It has more than enough room. The owners were available to help without intruding.

I have extended my stay from 3 to 5 weeks. We love the accommodation. The location is close but not too close to town. It is very peaceful and well cared for. The attractions and convience to them make this location very desirable. Gerhard and Rebecca are lovely and immediately responsive to any questions we have had. We would definitely stay again. My daughter and I were visiting the area for a few days and this apartment was perfect as a place to prepare and eat meals and relax at the end of the day. Very clean and comfortable. We never did meet the owner but we were out most of the days; and all our needs were met and expectations exceeded. The kitchen had everything we needed. The area is very quiet. There are a couple beautiful lighthouses that are a short drive away and a very quaint downtown area with a swing bridge and a restaurant that features fresh off-the-boat seafood and makes a generous lobster roll. There is also a quaint general store. Great place to use as home base for the many activities in the area--we went out to Eastern Egg Rock to see puffins and went kayaking one day. I am used to biking a lot on vacation but was a little intimidated by the main road around the island because the cars go by fast and there is no shoulder. If we had had more time, we might have explored a little more but we had a tight agenda.
