Bob Creek Loft - Cape Perpetua Area

The TV in the master bedroom didn’t work, probably the remote needed new batteries, and during a thunderstorm we noticed the living room window leaking water on the window seal and dripping onto the floor. I let the host know right away but never heard anything back. You can only wash one load of clothes a day due to it being on a well, so for multiple families staying it could be a challenge. Other than that the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and we had an awesome view of the ocean. I brought my telescope and got to see a whale spout water.

We had two tissues, not enough TP, no sponge or dish cloth. Those are not expensive items but it is a pain to bring them to a lovely, well-stocked house. Shame on such a silly policy.

We enjoyed the home and location very much! The beach and surfers just across the road was perfect. We could watch both from the front room or walk down and enjoy the beach

We rented the upper level of the home. The owner lives directly beneath the rental and also rents out two other rooms within the home, along with an apartment above the garage and 2 r.v. spaces. I mention this only because at the time of our stay we were the only renters so it was fairly quiet on property.

This is a beautiful home with a view to match. It was very comfortable, and had plenty of space for the four of us. We had no issues finding our unit, the unit itself is very clean, and full of charm. We spent most of our trip out of the house, but during the time we were there, it was very quiet, and we were not disturbed at any point during our stay. The beach access across from the property seems to be pretty popular, and parking can fill up fast. Fortunately, staying here means you can just walk across and enjoy the water. Thanks to Ocean Odyssey for this experience. It was great to get to come back down to the Oregon coast this year.

This property is ideally located for a serene ocean view stay. Our plans changed, so instead of a three family reunion, only two good friends shared this stay. We were surprised to see the property was under construction - apparently adding additional rental units, and though we were not bothered by the work going on, the appearance of this house was altered quite a bit from the posted photos - which appear to have been taken some time in the past. This takes away a little from the charm of the home. The amenities - spa, and picnic area are run down and the big lawn was unattended. Since there was no stove in the kitchen, it is fortunate we did not have to prepare food for several people. Being resourceful, we were able to make do with a variety of small appliances. The location is a few miles away from Waldport, the nearest village with a few restaurants, and we were able to find a couple that were quite good. This property has the potential to be an excellent place for 4 to 6 people, but the owners will have to pay attention to detail and improve the overall appearance of the grounds. Once the building is painted and the roofing replacement is complete, it will look much better, for sure. During our stay, it was not a great photo opportunity. As a suggestion, it would be nice for guests to be able to access some apps on the TV for movies, music, and sports. The owner apparently does not make most of these channels available to guests.

We made it a point to be at the beach every sunset, and explored the tide pools during low tides! This house backs up to the woods; there were a few trails going up but I didn’t explore far. This house is between Yachats & Florence, so there was access to grocery shopping within 45 minutes drive. There were five members of our family and this apartment provided plenty of room for us. The living room had mostly windows, which looked out to the ocean. I would recommend whale watching at Depoe Bay and sand dune riding with Torex in Florence! Stop along the way to Florence and hike Hobbit Trail! The property was clean and well maintained. The management for this property was very helpful; Katie called me before we even arrived in Oregon to answer my questions and give me specific directions to the property.
