Bit of HEAVEN sleep 50 feet from Roaring Fork River

Stefan and Alexandria are fabulous hosts. Their property is absolutely gorgeous, situated just 50 feet from the Roaring Fork River. If you like to fish, you can throw your line in the river just outside of the bedroom, or you can visit other prime locations near the property. I did some fly fishing on upper parts of the Roaring Fork and the Frying Pan River and caught some nice brown trout. It was a very relaxing and restful stay, and our two little doodles enjoyed the vacation too!

Beautiful property within an easy bike ride of Carbondale shopping and restaurants. Hosts are very friendly and the dogs provide for fun company. Thanks for a very nice stay!! Will check availability next time we head this way.

The directions were excellent, didn’t have an issue on arriving there. Everything was very clean and felt like a second home.

Lovely place in the country, where you can sit in the hottub and watch the river go by. Probably the most thoughtfully stocked VRBO I have ever visited. Having a car is a necessity.

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts was incredibly generous, gifting flowers for our valentine day. The property was beyond beautiful, and perfectly secluded. Its close proximity to the mountains made it easy to explore while still enjoying a peaceful retreat. We would absolutely stay here again! I highly recommend checking it out.

Stefan and Alexandra were very friendly hosts. The Bit of HEAVEN space was quite comfortable with all the amenities of home. Surrounded by the Roaring Fork river was an added bonus with access to walking trails and fishing holes. I would definitely recommend their place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway to Carbondale, CO.

We love everything about this hidden gem! This is our 2nd time staying here. Wish we could move in! Stefan & Alexandra, with their friendly pups Spanky & Sassy, are very friendly, accommodating & interesting. We fee like we are at home here. Never want to leave!!

We love the outdoors at this property. It’s green, shady, right on the river with the cooling effect and the lovely sound (along with the sound of a waterfall across the river and 2 fountains in the duck ponds on-site.), with great lounge chairs and dining table and chairs next to the Roaring Fork. The owners are lovely, welcoming hosts. There are over 2 acres of space for our dog to run around, complete with squirrels, and 2 resident dogs to hang out with. AND it abuts the paved bike/walking trail that runs from Glenwood Springs to Aspen. It’s less than a mile walk to Carbondale. This was our 3rd time to stay here, and we highly recommend it.

This stay was one of the best we've had over the years. Clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, luxury bed linens. Bed was comfortable. Alexandra and Stephan were very accommodating and friendly. Location is quiet and secluded. We plan on returning.

We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were great. The house is centrally located for outdoor activities and sightseeing in the Carbondale area. The property management couple were very helpful and informative about the area, offering suggestions of what to see. All in all it was a great experience and would opt to return again.

Location near the roaring Fork River and Rio Grande Trail for biking is incredible. Kitchen, fully stocked, clean and modern. Pull out couch, where the kids slept could use a thicker mattress. hot tub, ping-pong this place has it all.

My husband and I had the best week of some major R&R. They aren’t lying when they say it’s a bit of Heaven. Sleeping with the bedroom window open every night to hear the sound of the Roaring Fork River and reading next to the river was so relaxing. The entire property is gorgeous, the space itself is very clean and comfortable. The hosts were super accommodating and gave great advice on where to eat and visit in the area. We will definitely be back again!

Stefan and Alexandra’s place along the Roaring Fork River is amazing! We will stay there every chance we get when visiting Carbondale, Colorado. The morning time in the hot tub when the temperature is 40 or 50 is so refreshing! Sitting outside in the comfortable lounge chairs and listening to the river and watching the wildlife is so relaxing and refreshing. You will want to stay here if you ever are in the Carbondale area. Alexandra and Stephen are so welcoming and warm. Perfect location with views of the river from the bed. Inside is very clean and inviting. Quiet, beautiful location. Best vacation I have ever had. Loved playing with the dogs and getting to know them. We are already talking about future trips back and staying in this same location. Thank you both for the memories!

Beautiful location steps away from the river on multiple acre property. My dog lived having run of the property with owner/hosts 2 dogs. Hosts (Alexandra and Stefan) live in another building on site and are extremely welcoming and helpful. The suite is immaculately maintained and well supplied, with comfy king size bed in room that opens out to river and hot tub. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was a nice place to stay for our New Year's family vacation. Easy travel to Aspen Snow and Glenwood Hot Springs.

The property is nestled in a canyon next to the Roaring Fork River with amazing ponds and beautiful scenery. Beautifully decorated, it has all the amenities of home. It is small but perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again.

Location of this property is idyllic and the owners interesting people.

This is our third time staying at this wonderful spot. Alexandra and Stefan are the kindest of hosts, and the accommodations are inviting, comfortable, and classy. So much to do nearby -- cycling, hiking, fishing, day tripping to Redstone or Glenwood. Sitting in the hot tub looking out at the river is the best, most relaxing way to end the day. Plus, we saw the bear and one of her cubs! :) Thanks for another relaxing stay, Alexandra and Stefan, and we hope to see you again soon! C & M

We thoroughly enjoyed our month-long stay at A Bit Of Heaven! Relaxing at river level is so peaceful. The mama bear and cub sitings were a special treat, the 95 ducks were a welcome sight each morning and evening, and Sassy and Spanky were great hosts — just like their parents! We loved this location, which feels like it’s off the beaten path but it’s actually only minutes from town! We loved the access to the Rio Grande Trail, which provided great views of the Roaring Fork River and Mt Sopris. The home was well-appointed, the furniture was comfortable, the water pressure was strong and the hot water was hot!! Alexandra & Stefan are excellent hosts with an attention to detail, quick to respond, and very friendly, interesting and entertaining. We’ve been traveling to Colorado for several years, but this is the first time that we felt like we were “home”. Thank you Alexandra & Stefan for sharing your “bit of heaven” with us.
