Stayed Mar 19, 2026The apartment is charming. Accessed off of a leafy courtyard, the space is quiet, cool and roomy, with colourful decor and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen has everything you need and looks out to a private outdoor space; the windows throughout the home ensure the space is bright and fresh. I enjoyed the neighbourhood; it is as beautiful as it is interesting, many lovely restaurants and cafes and the walk to centro is easy. The host, William, was helpful and kind and ensured I had what I needed to feel at home. The rooftop space is incredible too- I can't say enough about this special place.

Stayed Mar 4, 2026Excellent apartment! Hosts William and Nora live onsite and obviously take great pride in their home. William is a bountiful source of information that he shares willingly. The location is on a quiet side street, but conveniently located to restaurants, local Mercado Merced, and small shops. It is an easy walk to the Zocalo and center of town for more restaurants, markets and shopping. El Catedral Restaurant is highly recommended. Nora has cooking classes 3 days a week, and we participated one day. Interesting, informative, hands-on class, and a delicious mealat the end. We highly recommend this VRBO and would enjoy returning.

Stayed Jan 25, 2026Lovely tranquil place. We liked the llocation a lot. The neighborhood ihas great street art and it's about a 15 minute walk to any of the sites. Appreciated having the kitchen facilities even though we did not use them too much because of all the amazing restaurants. Wonderful rooftop deck.

Stayed Jan 1, 2026This apartment was a treat: furnished and styled with a wonderful aesthetic, the space itself is equally artistically designed and feels spacious. With access to a nice roof terrace, it has it all. William, the host, is always available for any questions and for introducing the city- without being obtrusive. His wife Nora leads a dont miss tour to Ocotlon and craft studios. She is indigenous Zapotec and brings a valuable and deep insight into the cultures and history of Oaxaca. The apartment is located in Jaletlaco, near an amazing bakery, coffee shops and the La Merced Mercado. Best location. Water pressure here is low but serviceable.

Stayed May 7, 2025Such a wonderful place to stay. Exactly what we needed as a home base to explore Oaxaca for our first visit. Loved the room and the upstairs patio to sit and read and plan our adventures.

Stayed Mar 19, 2025The property is exactly as it appears in the pictures. Quintessential Mexico. William is very helpful and the property is very well cared for. Sitting on the roof top mirador every evening was a delight. The location is within an easy walk of serveral restaurants, coffee places, a tiendita as well as a wine shop. We loved the Mercado Merced, much more enjoyable that the big market in the center of Oaxaca. Hopefully we can return.

Stayed Feb 20, 2025We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at William and Nora’s apartment. It’s located in a charming neighborhood, and the hosts are long-time residents who are exceptionally gracious and helpful. The apartment was spotless and cozy, with a beautiful courtyard and relaxing rooftop terrace. The beds are very firm (which is fantastic if that’s your preference). The water is hot, with adequate pressure (but more would be nice). The WiFi is strong and reliable. You will enjoy a quiet, restful stay. Would highly recommend and gladly stay here again!

Stayed Feb 10, 2025We loved our stay with William and Nora. They have provided a charming, clean, safe space that in our opinion is perfectly located. They have plenty of great recommendations and are well connected with local providers. Nora's cooking class was a highlight. Her mole is to die for! The terrace is a special place to just chill and have a coffee or snack. The rooms are very comfortable and the bed was amazing. So much to do in Oaxaca and not enough time so we will be back. We will re-book if the apartment is available. Communication was great and a very small issue was immediately handled. Don't hesitate to book. It books EXTREMELY fast for a reason!!

Stayed Jul 16, 2024This is the perfect place to stay in Oaxaca. The apartment has all the vibrant qualities of the city, but is at the same time quiet, secluded and comfortable. We’ve made our home away from home and plan to keep going back. Beautifully decorated, conveniently designed and just a short walk to the center of the lively barrio of Jalatlaco. Hosts William and Nora run a tight ship, and everything is fully functional. They are friendly, welcoming and available for all needs and questions.
