Beautiful Madeira Penthouse Apt. with super views!.

We stayed for a month Nov- Dec and loved our stay. The location on VRBO isn’t correct, google map Apartamento do Sol and you will see the small complex. We received check-in instructions by WhatsApp, collected the keys from a lock box at ETC office and were able to let ourselves in easily. You are allocated an outside parking space close to the apartment so we used that instead of the underground parking. Access to the apartment is via a flight of 16 steps. We found it very quiet with no internal noise from other apartments. When you open the front door the view is staggering. We loved the balcony and the airy lounge. The dishwasher, washing machine, oven and hob are all easy to use. The wifi worked well, the TV had some English channels. The bedrooms and bathrooms have mosquito screens on the windows so you can sleep with windows open without worry. Both bathrooms have a bath tub (master ensuite is full size, other half size) with shower over. We loved the extra touches like a basket full of throws, books, cds and media player, candle holders, walking sticks, umbrellas. There is an even bigger selection of books by the pool area and a variety of noodles and inflatables that can be borrowed. We didn’t use the pool but it looked good and was always quiet. Our sheets and towels were changed every Thursday by Diva. We did find the mosquitos in Madeira dreadful (worse than the tropics or Caribbean) so bring plenty of repellent. Diva seemed to let them back in every week!

The apartment is spacious, with all you need for an enjoyable stay. The views are amazing for watching the sunset after a day of exploring. The location is nice too, very quiet with good restaurants nearby. A fan would have been a nice bonus.

Had a three day stay to complete our visit to beautiful Madeira . The bedroom were spacious with great mattress comfort . The balcony was absolutely the favorite spot to sit and read or just look out to the ocean . Had a bit of difficulties getting the TV going and ever only found one channel . Better instructions may be helpful . Kitchen had all amenities except may be nice to have a small bottle of olive oil available . Also a small package of laundry detergent would be useful for the more short stay people . But really , this is a super great place . It is under full security as well .

Very nicke, greatfull view

This apartment has the very best light and airy view of the ocean, in a lovely neighborhood. The flowers on the porch are stunning. The kitchen was set up just right. We absolutely loved our stay. I would say for couples though to be aware that there are 4 single beds, but no queen or bigger, so you will be sleeping apart, or trying to sleep with a gap between you if you put the two singles together.

Loved the condo, the view, and location. Did I mention the view. The only real challenge was finding the place on the first day. Google maps was useless and sent us first some place else then kept wanting to direct us to the middle of the tunnel. Condo is above so turn off directions and look at roads to figure out. Highly recommend

We have to get the keys out of the closed letterbox like thieves. Trashboxes are outside of the facility in the street. The apartment is beautiful and clean. TV wasn‘t working, but we didn‘t want to watch really. We managed it with hdmi and our own computer. Top view and very nice flat design. Even binocolars! We had habe a very nice stay and we can and nevertheless, yes we can recommended. Thank you Diva & Ezekiel

As other options are available in this area, I still would recommend this Apartment. Mr Freitas was very helpful and professional as our broker, and he made the check-in process very easy. It is very clean and up to date, giving up a spectacular view of the sea and sunset, from almost any room in the house. Pride of ownership comes through. We specially appreciated the privacy of the top floor. A truly relaxing vacation was made better with this apartment. The beds were not quite as comfortable if I am forced to be critical. My wife and I loved staying here!!
