Bear House 1890, Lilly's Loft, Delightful, Upgraded amenities, Walk to Cafes

This was a wonderful place to stay. It’s close to Rock City, a short drive to the Aquarium. The apartment was spacious, well-decorated comfortable. We followed the owner’s recommendations on eating out & we’re glad we did.

WOW! We LOVED IT!!! The Sherfey’s thought of everything! The bed was so comfy and the suite was lovely! We had everything we could need……coffee, snacks and a full kitchen stocked with utensils and pots and pans! The grounds were very pretty with lots of nice places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. We were only there for two nights but would love to come back again soon!

Very comfortable accommodation with a lot of personal touches such as plenty of Keurig coffee pods, luxery towels and soaps. The grounds are beautiful as well. The walk to the Incline Railway and the excellent restaurant 1885 was only about five minutes.

The Bear House was a perfect location for our trip to visit Civil War battlefield sites around Chattanooga -- a short drive to Chickamauga and Missionary Ridge, and it was right at the base of Lookout Mountain. It is an upstairs loft apartment and very nice. It included laundry facilities in the nearby house, which we appreciated. It is near several lunch and dinner eating establishments in the St Elmo area. However, we could not find a breakfast cafe real close by, so we had to settle for a Subway breakfast. Everything else was great.

A cute, small upper level detached from the main house. There's good food within walking distance, and lots of great activities available nearby such as hiking, tourist spots, and sightseeing. The bathroom is a bit cramped, especially if you're a bigger person, this might not be the best place to stay, but otherwise is very cute and cozy! The property has multiple areas to congregate outside, and was great to enjoy the cool weather every night! We loved lilies loft and look forward to our next visit!

The house was very welcoming very accommodating and communicated very quickly. We will absolutely be staying here again. We love the place. It was so clean cute and had everything we needed.

What a delightful accommodation, and host. The unit was slick and span, sweet Xmas decorations, and quiet. We will definitely be back!

Excellent little house, Amazing. The whole area was great. Point Park Battlefield is spectacular, go early and spend a few hours. Rock City (Uber back can be a problem, so just ask drivers pulling in are you Uber and have cash to pay for the ride down; Ruby Falls. 1885 Grill , Great Cocktails and food.

This property is absolutely lovely! The hosts are amazing and very friendly. The neighborhood is beautiful and the accommodations on the property are perfect. They literally provided everything we could possibly need or want for a perfect stay. The drive is shared but the apartment itself has a private entry. This was the best place that I have stayed at in quite some time, clean, comfortable, and absolutely gorgeous historic home. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Such a wonderful gem of a house..very clean and comfortable..first class luxury on everything from the bed linens and towels to lovely hand and shower soap. Lots of personal extras that go above and beyond most places. Excellent location as walking distance to locals restaurants! Lots of activities close by. This was a hit it out of the ballpark for us!! Highly recommend and u will not be disappointed!!

Perfect accommodations and so close to all attractions! Will definitely recommend to friends and family. If we're ever in Chattanooga again, we will absolutely stay at The Bear House. We stayed in Lilly's Loft and it couldn't have been more cozy and comfy.

Everything was great! No issues and we had a super time. Walked to a restaurant and drove up the Mt. to watch a fabulous sunset, also just a short drive up the road - hiked to a Falls (well not so much, water wasn’t flowing this time of the year).

This quiet little historic neighborhood is perfectly located for so many attractions. Ruby falls, Rock city and the Incline railway are just minutes away. There's pretty gardens on the property with various seating areas for relaxing evenings. The historic house is charming, clean and is stocked with pretty much anything you'll need for a stay.

The weather was hot but our stay was more than comfortable! From the beautiful grounds to the little extras scattered throughout the property, Lilly's Loft was a wonderful place to call home for our stay in Chattanooga. Many shops and restaurants were within walking distance and the downtown area was a short drive. A great place to stay!

We stayed at the Bear House for Covenant graduation weekend as our son and his fiancé both graduated. Both of our families stayed in the spaces at the Bear House and enjoyed being together for meals on the lovely garden patio and playing games. Beautiful gardens and nice place to be together.

Lilly's Loft was a very comfortable and quiet place. We enjoyed the short walk to restaurants a few blocks away. Ruby Falls was spectacular. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed out stay in Lilly's Loft. It was comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. Nice location near hikes on Lookout Mountain and could easily walk into St. Elmo.

We had fun with Scavenger hunt. It appears some of the characters have swapped places. :-)The kitchen the snacks and the bathrooms were well stocked.

So cozy and comfortable! We felt right at home, everything was well stocked and we really appreciated the extra snacks and drinks! There’s so much to do in the area and we will definitely be returning to Lilly’s Loft the next time we’re in town.

This was a perfect location for my husband and I to have a little getaway! It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. I should note that if you have back problems, the mattress is very soft. The shower water pressure was great! (Always a plus)We highly recommend!

The Bear House was lovely! We stayed in Libby's Loft, and had such a good stay. All amenities are available; the owners seem to have thought of everything. Towels etc in the bathroom plus anything else we forgot, a full kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, full fridge/freezer. A nice size living room with a comfortable big couch and chair, giant TV, and a little desk nook you can work from. A great bedroom with a walk in closet and a TV on the wall, and a really comfy bed with lots of pillows. And finally a lovely little enclosed porch/sitting room with a dining table surrounded by windows. We were out exploring town a lot but I would so recommend if you want a get away where you just stay in and relax. I would have loved to have spent my day in that little sitting room with a book and tea. The property is historical too! It was built in 1890 by the founder of St. Elmo, Abraham Johnson, who was the president of the Chattanooga Choo Choo. The house down the street was the former site of the home of Chief John Ross, head of the Cherokee nation. The whole neighborhood is older historical homes and so pretty. But just because it's an historic house doesn't mean it's not modernized! It has central heating/cooling, and the bathroom and kitchen are completely modernized. It just still retains it's historical feel.

Absolutely loved the extra space in Lilly's loft. Had coffee in entryway and the desk in tv room was nice for those who still need to check-in while on vacation.We loved walking to shops/dinner.We slept SO great - between blackout curtains, sound machine and bed/pillows.Definitely one of the best VRBO's we've ever stayed in. Would visit again without questions.

Lily’s Loft was such a cozy/homey stay.The owners were a delight to work with and were extremely accommodating when my flight got changed and it actually got changed several hours earlier than I was expected to be in the city. They made it possible for me to drop my bags off and freshen up quickly, even though they weren’t expecting me in my room was not quite ready.I found myself saying I could actually live here. It was so well pulled together..

We have stayee in the main house and the owners are very friendly and helpful. This time we stayed at Lillys Loft. We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was cozy and very comfortable. I would recommend this rental. We look forward to visiting again.

Location was fantastic. Mattress was awesome, that means a lot to me. They even decorated the place foe Christmas. I would highly recommend this place.

Stayed for a spontaneous weekend visit with my daughter. Accommodations are wonderful…comfortable and hosts think of everything you may need. Close to lots of restaurants and local activities. Looking forward to returning!

This is our second time staying in Lilly’s Loft. The location is perfect. Every detail to snacks, decor, soaps, fully stocked kitchen is so appreciated. The owners are precious and love sharing their knowledge of the area. The house is stunning and the bed feels like you are sleeping on a cloud. This is the perfect space for a couples getaway.

The Bear House, Sharman and Steve were wonderful! We definitely plan to stay there the next time we're in Chattanooga!

I had the privilege of staying with Steve and Sharman for a week long working vacation. Everything was safe, clean, affordable, and fun. I would give it an 11 out of 10 if I could!

My daughter and I stayed here for a ball filled weekend. The house was more than expected. The host left all the essentials from snacks, coffee, extra toiletries, and candy which my daughter loved. The place was just what we were looking for. Even though we did not do much other than ball, the house was in the perfect location located near restaurants and attractions. We would definitely recommend and stay again!
