Barton Springs Hideaway. On the Park at Barton Springs Pool, mins to Downtown

Great location, went with family and the little one loved it,, bed and sheets were clean and comfortable,, I just wasn’t crazy about them forgetting to mop/ sweep floors and wipe down counters. This also wasn’t a last minute reservation.

It had everything you might need.

Absolute gem a light stroll from Barton Springs. Very responsive hosts and a well stocked kitchen.

The property is excellent for 4 or cozy 6 and the access in and out with locked does was very easy. You hear owners above especially children in the morning and evening for an hour and spent very little time beyond sleeping. TV choices allowed me to have NBA playoffs which I appreciated and the minor negatives on the rooms - the beds squeeke loudly and both bathroom fans need cleaned. I got very dirty on purpose. I did not have a car for my stay so I walked a lot - spent days at Casa de Luz and Barton Springs. Attended fire circle and photographed the botanical gardens and the bats under Congress bridge. I had breakfast at Juiceland every day and easily walked to Trader Joe’s & Whole Foods. Uber around town cost me average 12 to get back to the property if I was too tired to walk. The scooters around also would be excellent option for me next time. Used the kitchen virtually 0 so have no opinion other than the out water filter on the fridge. I don’t know anything about the water I didn’t drink it. Pleasant exchanges with hosts always we saw each other rarely. For me was excellent for the price and location and matched 100% of my work : play needs perfectly. I appreciate the hideout and will plan to return.

Wi-Fi was perfect. The kitchen was super clean, the house was very comfortable. Can’t complain about a thing, I’d stay here again.

This was a perfect rental for our small family. The hosts were very communicative, easy to reach, and provided us a pack and play so we didn’t have to travel with ours. The location of the house is pretty perfect. Across the street from the park and in a prime location to drive to most areas of Austin. The house was clean and stocked with pretty much anything you might need to cook. They even had some spices and stocked the fridge with a few drinks before our arrival (very much appreciated!) The ONLY things to keep in mind when booking:1. This is a basement type apartment. It feels private but you can hear the hosts families footsteps upstairs pretty clearly. This was not an issue for us but just something to know before you book. 2. The driveway is very steep. Most sedans probably couldn’t park in the upper spot because of the angle to get over. Also, it is a pretty tight fit with two cars but doable. These two things did not negatively impact our stay and we hope to return to this rental in the future! Just something I would want to know when booking.

Very roomy 2/2 right across the street from Barton Springs park. Walked to Chuy’s! All the necessary amenities, owner right upstairs. Great stay!

We spent a few days here on a last minute trip to soak up the last bits of summer with our boys, and it couldn’t have been a better spot. The duplex was clean, cozy, and stocked up with everything we needed. Being just a short walk to Barton Springs Pool was such a win - we were able to enjoy the water without the hassle of driving or parking. The family lives upstairs, but it still felt private and comfortable. By the end of our trip, our boys were already asking when we would come back… overall a great stay that made our quick getaway feel special.

We absolutely LOVED staying here! Brandon and Kara were beyond amazing hosts! They are quick to respond, so accommodating, and made us feel at home.The location is absolutely perfect! We enjoyed the easy walk over to Barton Springs and the short uber rides to anywhere in town! Thank you Brandon and Kara for making our trip to Austin unforgettable!

A very clean place perfect for a family or group of friends. The location is close to downtown without being right in the city and close to the park/river!

It was everything we needed and were hoping for in a place to stay for the weekend! I would recommend this place to anyone and do not have any complaints.

If you want to take in a little Austin culture and you’d like to stay in a spacious, well appointed vrbo - consider this sweet place directly across the street from the Barton Springs pool Zilker Park. Brandon and Kara made sure we were comfortable and felt welcome in their place. Offering their baby supplies (high chair, pack and play) made things all the easier for us three adults and my two month old granddaughter! We even had a minor brief power outage that we discovered later in the evening one night - Brandon was there to fix the problem in minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nice place but the owners live above and they have young kids.. Their kids woke up early at 6-6:30 everyday and ran above all the room and drop balls and toys which made it very difficult for morning sleepers. If I was renting my basement I would make sure my kids would not be running during those days and keep them grounded at least that early of morning.

Really enjoyed the property and location! The place is very accommodating with everything you need. Highly recommend.

Great place!… Especially if you are an outdoorsy type!! Located directly across from Zilker Park, which offers a pool, hiking/ biking trails, canoeing, and entertaining ‘people watching’.Close to many restaurants & downtown governmental buildings.

Great location and spacious living quarters. Kitchen was well stocked and check in was a breeze. Take note of the description - the driveway was very steep and there were little feet running around upstairs, nothing that would deter us from staying again but just something to note if you’re booking!

Great Location, nice property. Did not like the policy of requiring that I pay for damage insurance or a $3k deposit. On top of the known %30-40 of fees and taxes you’re going to incur on these rental property sites, I did not appreciate being cornered into that additional expense. Coffee machine had not been cleaned to the point of being very moldy. Not a big deal but definitely clean that thoroughly. The property above theirs rental was quite noisy as well.

Property was as advertised and good location.
