Emigrant, Montana
In the 1870s 'Yankee Jim' built a toll road leading to Yellowstone National Park. In the 1880s, the Northern Pacific Railroad completed a rail line that competed with Yankee Jim's route, and eventually forced him out of business. This historic cabin, artfully restored, is along this route.
Just 17 miles north of Yellowstone, it offers a taste of a bygone era and great proximity to the treasures of south west Montana. Expertly landscaped, this property allows you privacy without the inconvenience of a remote location. Perfect for singles or a couple who value character, history and authenticity in their choice of lodging. This is truly a one of a kind property.
A studio cabin with a separate bathroom/laundry area. The space is meticulously planned and perfect for a single or couple. Four areas in each corner define the main living space.
First, a small seating area with two leather chairs, small marble side table, and a dresser with a big screen TV (DVD's only).
Second, a built in bench on the southern and eastern walls with cushions and a large wooden table on wheels, perfect for dining or creating.
Third, a small corner kitchen complete with all the necessities and beyond: stove, range, microwave, coffee maker, cutlery, glassware, plates, bowls, cooking ware, placemats, and a stainless steal refrigerator.
Lastly, the comfortable queen bed with high quality bamboo sheets, bed side tables, reading lamps, and contour pillows.
The bathroom is separated by a wooden door. The bathroom has a toilet, spacious shower framed in rail road ties, stackable washer and dryer, and a beautiful marble vanity with an artistic twig framed mirror.
We have a new outdoor BBQ (purchased May 2018) out back for outdoor grilling along with a small antique prep table.
The cabin is surrounded by a vibrant, organically treated lawn as well as rock tiers of flowers, trees, and shrubbery. The rock terraces are well kept and make sitting outside very enjoyable.
The entire studio is yours with off street parking and a beautifully manicured lawn. Please park on the small gravel lot in front of the stone step pathway.
*Please note it will take 40 minute to get to Gardiner, the northern entrance of Yellowstone Park, until the Carbella Bridge is replaced.*
The cabin had all the items one needs. Perfect for a couple. Everything was as listed. One note, a four wheel or all wheel vehicle is best. Road to cabin would be rough on a car. Access to Yellowstone and towns such as Gardiner and Livingston. Perfect stay allowing us to enjoy the outdoors.
The cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed, including a very lovely, spacious bathroom. Very relaxing!
Comfortable and well equipped cabin for exploring Yellowstone, Gardiner and Livingston area. We enjoyed grilling out in the evenings!
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was perfect for my husband and I. We enjoyed fishing all day and then relaxing on the front porch with a beverage. The cabin is super comfy and they have thought of everything to make us feel at home. We loved the bathroom and loved having a washer and dryer to use.
Everything about this artisan cabin is beautiful! Artfully decorated, with every modern convenience you could ask for. A gorgeous, secluded environment with beautiful landscaping and wildlife visitors (2 mule deer) to add to the experience! Tanya, our host, was most gracious, and we can't say enough about how welcome we felt during our stay.
This cabin was fantastic for my daughter and I for a Yellowstone trip each day for 5 nights. It is rustic with modern convenience. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.
We really enjoyed staying at the charming cabin. It had everything we needed and was very clean. I would highly recommend the place.
We stayed here while visiting Yellowstone NP, cabin was clean, well-appointed and BEAUTIFULLY decorated. Bathroom was awesome and loved having laundry on site. Bed was comfy, linens plush โ had one of the best nights of sleep Iโve had in a while here! Quiet and secluded-feeling while still a quick trip to the park. Highly recommend!!
The cabin was beautiful inside and out. The decor was spot on with the Montana life style. The shower was awesome and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed coffee in the morning, watching the sun rise above the mountains. after a long day in Yellowstone it was relaxing to come back to a very nice cabin and decompress.i would stay there again if we went back .
Even if the north entrance of the park was closed, we had a wonderful time in Paradise valley. The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us. We left Montana with wonderful memories !
Unfortunately, We were staying here during the worst flooding event in this areas history, and therefore our stay was stressful and cut short. That being said, we loved the cabin and it was everything it was listed for. it was very clean and quiet with close access to Yellowstone and the surrounding areas. I would definitely go back and stay at this property.
This cabin was a perfect place for us. We spent 5 days visiting Yellowstone and this was a great place to come back to after a long day. We loved it!
Paradise Valley is a great choice. Close to Yellowstone River & only 17 miles from North park entrance. We enjoyed the wildlife as well as high end dining at historic Chico Hotel.
