Stayed Sep 7, 2025Haus Klemenjak is an excellent value in gorgeous Faak am See!! Adorable, quiet family house at beginning of corn field within 5-minute walking distance to swimming pond with flowing lake water, wonderful restaurants, local cafes, church, artistic walking and biking path, Faak am See train stop and much, much more!! Red clay tennis club just a 1-minute walk down the road with farmer's market along the way. Host lives on ground floor and was the kindest and most helpful proprietor I have ever met. Central staircase leads up to comfortable, not huge, rooms with kitchens and baths, including master woodwork built-ins. Some rooms also have balconies. Good internet, limited cable TV channels. The summer season in Faak am See offers incredible hiking, biking, swimming, canoeing, horseback-riding, tennis and camping. Villach is just a quick 20-minute northwest train or car ride and Velden on Woerthersee is almost equally near to the northeast. All in all a wonderful, comfortable, very conveniently-located country find with an incredibly friendly and helpful host!!
