Stayed Jun 30, 2023This apartment is on the 1st floor. The main living area is open plan and was plenty big enough for our family of 5. It has everything you need for self-catering. 2 double bedrooms on the main level, but also a double bedroom in the attic area - along with a surprising amount of extra space, which is mostly unused. The apartment is part of a block of about 20-30 similar ones. Many seem to be owned by locals but quite a few were empty, so were probably holiday homes, too. We were there slightly out of season (as the Scottish summer holidays start 3 weeks before the English ones). The pool and grass area are excellent. Usually there were a few other people outside, but it never felt crowded. There is a nice balcony which is a real suntrap; it overlooks the pool. One slight negative is the lack of outdoor chairs / loungers - so you either have to sit on a towel or perhaps bring a dining room chair downstairs. The area is a sort of suburb of Esposende. There are two grocery stores within 2 minutes walk of the apartment. Aldi's is a 5 minute drive. It's a 7-8 minute walk to the beach. The beach is beautiful, although it was windy a few days we were there. Esposende is a 5 minute drive and there is plenty to do there: shopping, waterfront, restaurants, and historic centre. The host is Martinho. We only met him once, but he lives nearby and he speaks good English, was there to meet us upon arrival, and helped with the one thing we needed during our stay. Recommended!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great house, nice kitchen and bathrooms. Very clean and well kept. Balcony with view of the communal pool. Loved our stay here.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The property is spacious and comfortable, very clean and in a peaceful neighborhood. It is wonderful to have the swimming pool just under the flat and also the property is just 5 minutes walking to the beach. It is situated not in the town centre (it is busier and noisy ), but there are a couple of mini super markets just round the corner. Both, Martinho and Teresa Pilar were very kind and they paid attention to our comfort and to made us feel comfortable. We suggested something and just next day they brought it to us. Unanimously whole family have decided to come back next year to this lovely property!
