Located in the Castello district, this cozy studio of 53 m2, on the first floor of a building of the thirteenth century, offers an oasis of relaxation just minutes away from San Marco and Rialto. It consists of a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a spacious bedroom, with Murano glass lamps, overlooking a garden of 170 m2 with a small well probably dating from around the eighteenth century. Fully restored and reformed in Genuary 2014, offers all the comforts of modern location in an historical, suffused atmosphere.

Nearby you can visit the basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo, where lie the remains of 25 doges, the church of San Francesco della Vigna, whose precious façade is the work of Palladio, and the church of Santa Maria Formosa, which houses the Byzantine icon of Our Lady of Lepanto. Going a little deeper inside the Castello district, it can be reached by a short walk the Arsenal, and visit what was one of the largest shipyards in the Middle Ages and Modern Age.

The surrounding area, despite the points of interest, remains outside of the usual routes, enabling you to experience Venice in relative serenity in times of great affluence, and is full of restaurants and pastry shops frequented by residents.

Bed linen and towels included.
Final cleaning included in the booking: €50.
Dogs are welcome (upon prior agreement) for an extra cleaning fee of €50.
Tourist tax to be paid at check-in.
Late check-in: 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM, at a cost of €50. No check-ins are available after 11:00 PM.

We had a great stay, the weather was wet and cold, but we made it work. We had to leave early for home because of a hurricane coming toward Florida. The host was gracious and understood.

Lovely property, ideal size for two friends (using sofa bed), on the first floor. Perfect for strolling, also close to the Ospedale vaporetto stop. Nearby restaurants offered good food at reasonable prices.

Away from the crowds. Quiet and easy to get around. Shout out to Francesco who was very helpful and accommodating.

The city is astonishing, unique. Our enjoyment was enhanced by a wonderful welcome from the hosts who were attentive and helpful before and during our visit. The apartment is very well-located, short, fascinating walks to the majority of Venice's many attractions. Plenty of good shops, bars and restaurants nearby.

We found the property very clean and well appointed. It was in a quiet area of Venice away from the main tourist areas, but within walking distance of them. The nearest boat stops were close by. The seven day boat pass is worthwhile purchasing. Good restaurants close by especially Ristorante Al Cavallo by San Giovanni and San Palo Cathedral. We enjoyed our stay

The property is perfectly located off the beaten tourist path in a neighborhood which disproves the myth that no Italians live in Venice. Only a short walk to the Arsenale and Giardini and at the same time surprising close to Piazza San Marco. A supermarket and vaporetto stop which connects with the airport are all 5 minutes always; I only needed to use the vaporetto for that. . The owner went out of his way (to Mestre on the terra firma) to buy some medical supplies for me without my asking. .. The apartment is a little dark and lacks an ideal computer work space but; I believe the owner is putting in some extra lights; but the garden is always available. I stayed for 12 nights, attended the Biennale most days and ate in most nights in the fully equipped kitchen.

We were first time visitors to Venice. After flying in and catching the AlliLaguna line to Ospedale, Francesco meet us at the stop and took us on a very short walk to our room. It has every accommodation that we needed/wanted. Plenty of hot water, WiFi connection, comfortable bed, & windows open up to garden behind the house. Quite nice and Chiara & Francesco were very friendly. We loved wandering the narrow streets to all the major sights. You can reach San Marco or the Rialto in about 10 minutes. Great place!

A great spacious apartment, pictures don’t really do it justice, a beautiful clean space . Small kitchen large bathroom and large bedroom with TV . There is plenty of storage space , so no need to pack lightly. The apartment is in the north of the city , easy walking to most areas- there is a charge for being met at the water bus, by the owners , which we felt excessive, but we arrived on a late plane so was a charge that we had to pay. There is internet service , but it’s poor and intermittent, so we relied more on our mobile data. Overall a great find
