Stayed Jul 13, 2025Our host made arrangements to collect us at the train station. We were arriving in the late afternoon so he had a pizza, salad and cold beverages for us. He made us feel at home and was quick to answer questions we had. The appartement is 2 minutes from town. You make one left turn and you’re transported into another world!

Stayed May 15, 2025Extremely well appointed, this flat is ideal for a relaxing holiday. There's plenty of free parking close by and it's just a few minutes' walk to the main street, the Cathedral, the Tapestry and everything else.Denis the host is charming, and anxious that we should have a good time. We certainly did; the flat is comfortable and spacious. Well worth it despite the stairs. We also suspect that the toilet (described as 'vintage') is the next room for refurbishment! All in all, very highly recommended.Merci, Denis!

Stayed Apr 24, 2025Staying at Denis's apartment for 6 days in Bayeux, France was the very best decision we made. The apartment itself is in a relatively quiet area, a block or two from the tourist section of Bayeux - an easy 5 to 15 minute walk to get to anywhere in this charming, historic city. The walk up three flights of the wide, well lit staircase didn't bother us but might be a consideration for some. Roads are very narrow so we opted to leave our small rental car in one of the free parking spots beside the apartment. Denis's eclectic apartment was quite large and very bright getting both morning and afternoon sun. Denis thoughtfully supplied it with absolutely everything we could want. The kitchen included coffee, and even orange juice, wine, beer and snacks along with lots of spices and condiments. The apartment was quite large and gave us plenty of room to spread out and relax. We spent a few mornings and evenings sitting on the balcony enjoying the sun and beautiful views. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and was large enough to easily accommodate two people. Great shower too. The bedroom had plenty room to hang up and store clothes. The big glass doors also opened up to the balcony. The bed also was very comfortable. Denis was wonderful to deal with. We would absolutely rent his Bayeux apartment again. Thank you Denis!

Stayed Jul 16, 2023The property is conveniently located. Easy walking distance to everything. Had everything we needed. The host was great. He does not speak English but used a phone app to communicate. Remember it is three flights up with no elevator. Also, no a/c but the weather was beautiful so that was not an issue.

Stayed Jul 6, 2023My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, centrally located apartment. Our host, Denis, greeted us at check-in and showed us around. Either he or his daughter, Lucille, were available to us during the week for questions. The apartment is well equipped, has a small balcony for morning coffees or afternoon cocktails and parking is available. A short two block walk takes you to the Main Street where there are many restaurants (several with Michelin stars). Bayeux is a wonderful town to use as your base for exploring Normandy and this apartment is a pleasure to come home to and rejuvenate in.

Stayed May 24, 2023We picked this place for its access to the center of town, our ability to use a kitchen and washing machine, good internet access and free parking nearby. It outperformed all over! We didn't mind the 3 floors of stairs (and we're in our mid-60s), just gave us more exercise steps per day!). The view was lovely; it was quiet (no street noise); the host went out of his way (he had cereal, milk, juice, coffees and teas, a bottle of local cider and beer plus more in his well-equipped kitchen); it was a 7 minute walk to the tourism office and lots of great restaurants and shopping; easy to get out to of town to drive to the WWII battlefields and other local sights. We found everything was within walking distance, if you don't mind a 20 minute walk. We even walked to the train station for a day trip and to the Bayeux Normandy battle museum, which are both outside the main downtown area. Bayeux is a perfect small town to use as the take-off point for a several day trip to Normandy. We spent 2 days seeing the WWII battlefields, drove to Brittany--Dinan and Mont St. Michel-- for a day, toured Bayeux for 1.5 days, and even went to Rouen for a day. Can't thank Denis enough for the nice, clean apt. and his help. Only thing about Bayeux, if you need a taxi, they are few and you need to reserve them ahead of time. But it's a small town, so we just walked.
