Rita was hands down the best host of our 6 city visit to Italy. She communicated before hand, gave us explicit directions to the apartment (with cost of travel for private versus public water taxi). She met us at the apartment, with a binder of must knows, water, bottle of wine, and some light snacks for our stay. She suggested restaurants, things to do, and arranged for a private water taxi for our departure. The apartment itself is beautiful! It’s very large with two options for our group to hang out plus more space we didn’t use! The windows in the salon open so you can hear the gondoliers singing as they floated by. There is a small elevator that really came in handy after nearly three weeks of schlepping our too many Luggages up stairs. There are two bedrooms on the main level with two (unattached) recently renovated large and spacious bathrooms. The two bedrooms on the top level are nice enough, but the one full en-suite bathroom was not as updated. We did have a painting fall and break during our visit. When we contacted Rita (after 10pm) she responded quickly to ask if she needed to send someone or if she needed to come over to clean it up. She is the epitome of a top notch host.

Rita was a great host! She arranged for early checkin and met us at the Vaporetto stop to walk us to the apt. She walked us through the apartment and provided some snacks and drinks in the kitchen was so thoughtful. Apartment is a short walk to st. marks square and close to the vaporetto which is very convenient. There is also a small elevator to get up to the apt on the second floor which was great with luggage. Apt was very clean and we really felt like we were living in a 15th century villa! Only negative thing would be that the description didn’t really indicate that 2 of the bedrooms are up on a second level in the apartment. Each accessible from their own staircase. Not a huge issue but would have been good to know. One of the rooms upstairs had a bathroom and the other did not. We found that everyone basically used the 2 bathrooms on the main floor. Checkout was a breeze- all we had to do was leave and let her know we were out. Overall a wonderful weekend stay in Venice in Rita’s great villa!

Rita was very responsive with her communication and made the check in process very easy and simple. The apartment was very large and expansive as advertised. The bedrooms were cool which was extremely important bc Venice was very hot. Everything was clean and worked really well. The location was ideally located to shops, restaurants and taxis.

The pictures do not do the place justice. If you would like an authentic historic experience, this apt is a dream for a Venice stay. We felt honored to have the apt available for our stay - wondering about all of the history of the space. Our group of 8 took a private water taxi from the train station to the Giglio stop, just a short walk to the apt. Rita met us at the stop and guided us from there. She is a wonderful hostess, very helpful with questions and guidance. She introduced us to the place and answered all questions - very professional and hospitable. She even provided some snacks. Apt had coffee, filters, kettle - enough to get started on day 1. Plenty of hot water, blankets, pillows, and AC worked well. Lovely tiny canal view and we could hear gondoliers singing from the apt. Apt very accessible - Couple minutes walk to restaurants, gelato, bars, water bus, taxi, gondola, shops. 10-15 minute walk to major attractions. Cannot recommend enough!

Rita was exceptionally helpful and organized both before we arrived and after. The apartment was very spacious with new bathrooms that had new large showers. The kitchen had everything needed, including a washing machine. The location is terrific with a convenient vaparetto stop.

Very nice and roomy apartment in Venice near St. Marks Square. Met at Vaparetto stop by property manager. She walked us thru the twists and turns to the property. Everything was nice. Had snacks and coffee for us. Roomy living room with large windows and small deck on a canal. Bedrooms were bright and roomy. Elevator/lift for our older guest and the bags. Recommend. Thank you for a nice stay.

First of all, Rita is absolutely the best! She went out of her way to make sure our arrival to Venice was stress-free even before we arrived. The property was gorgeous and in a perfect location. Plus, it was spotless and we had everything we could possibly need…snacks, linens, and clear directions for checking in and out. Best of all, we had access to an elevator! Rita was gracious enough to arrange transportation to the airport. Totally satisfied with our entire experience at this property. A million thanks to Rita!

This is the perfect Palazzo in Venice. We stayed with our 3 children. They couldn’t believe that we were able to book a piece of history. They kept asking how we were able to stay in a museum. The pictures don't do the apartment justice. It is gorgeous and located in the perfect location. We enjoyed opening the windows and listening to gondolieriers singing in the canal below. We loved the little bar aroynd the corner for breakfast. It is minutes to San Marco. Rita was a wonderful host. She met us at vaporetto and walked us to the apartment. She gave us a list of restaurants (the ones we tried were very good) and answered our questions. Even though the apartment is historic, it had all the modern amenities. Rita provided hair driers, shampoo and conditioner, and soap for the dishwasher and washing machine. She also stocked the kitchen with coffee, tea, milk, and snacks. It was very thoughtful. I would absolutely book this apartment again.
