Just 300 meters away there is a mini market and in 2 km you will find the settlement with a lot of taverns with traditional Cretan cuisine. The region has many beautiful beaches for all tastes (with fine sand, pebbles or slates) and there is also the famous beach Argilos for the admirers of natural spa and the salt lake of Alatsolimni. You can also visit many interesting places of archaeological interest such as the Ancient Ampelos, Katsounaki, Trachilas, or the posterior chapel of St. Nicholas dating from 1895.

It is helpful to have a means of transport because there are no bus stops or taxis available in the settlement. The area is ideal for hiking and cycling.
