Newbury, Vermont
Located in the quaint town of Wells River, VT with property lining the Connecticut River and New Hampshire border. This spacious studio is part of a small 2 building complex built in the 1880's on a quiet road. The studio sits atop a hill with 6 acres and a trail down to the Connecticut River. Updated to be cozy and meet your day to day needs, there is a full size bed, living room furnishings, cable TV, full bathroom and studio size kitchen. Spacious closet makes it easy to store items.
The ideal location. Peaceful, yet 2 minutes from food shopping and stores and 5 minutes from the highway. Different ski resorts within a 30 to 35 minute drive and plenty of summer activities in the area. Great for professionals, hunters, skiiers, or just those passing through.
Allison has a beautiful property. Very well manicured and cared for. My husband & I truly enjoyed our stay. Allison and her family are very lovely. Attention to detail. we loved swimming at Big Eddie which was a hop skip & a jump away. We already miss VT Books & Tracy stayed for 71 days. Loved it .
Alison was helpful when I had a question.. check-in was so easy! Good info in her notebook inside the facility.
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend and had a marvelous time! The studio was clean, cozy, and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment so that we could cook for ourselves. We loved the train that took you right down to the Connecticut river on the property. It was beautiful! The host was wonderful and they gave us a thorough list of great restaurants and things to do in the area. Would stay again!
Cozy place with cute decor but it lacks a dining table (we ate on the low coffee table by the couch). The couch and bed are quite squishy to the point of giving 32-year-old me and my partner lower back pain. The kitchen is quite well-stocked but I recommend bringing your own knives if you're planning on doing any cooking.
The entire studio was very clean including the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfy. Perfect for a month long stay while working in Woodsville, NH.
Would not stay there again.
This place was perfect for my stay here has a travel nurse! I loved that it had everything you needed to feel at home and more! Shower was amazing and the place it’s self is well taken care of! Any issues or questions were answered promptly! Would definitely book again!
We stayed in this apartment for over a week. It was perfect. The location on the Connecticut River was ideal for hiking in the White Mountains as well as surrounding state parks & forests. The apartment is close to town but quiet and secluded on a hill. Allison is very thoughtful. The apartment was very clean and had all appliances, etc.
This little apartment was perfect for me. It had everything that I needed and more. There was someone available all the time to help with any questions I had. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
My wife and I highly recommend this rental apartment. If you like the outdoors or want to be out in the country near a safe small town, this place fits the bill. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and obviously well-kept. The refrigerator was normal sized (e.g. not college sized). The kitchen was stock with enough plates, glasses, flatware, pots and pans, etc. for a few people. It also included a stove, microwave and Keurig coffee machine. The bathroom was clean and stocked with towels. It was on the small side (pedestal sink) and that is OK. There was plenty of parking around the house. The apartment is very accessible by major highways (5 minutes to I-91) and easy to find. The area feels very safe and quiet. A five minute walk will bring you to a fantastic view of the Connecticut river. A five minute walk in either direction will bring you into either the small towns of Woodsville, NH or Wells River, VT. There are several restaurants nearby. We enjoyed an evening at a family friendly restaurant. While the area has seen better economic times, the outdoor scenery and activities are outstanding. There's also plenty to areas of interest to see in New Hampshire and Vermont, i.e. the apartment is an excellent base for making day trips. We also had a chance to meet the owner. You can tell that she does her best to provide a enjoyable stay. She also has other larger rental apartments in the same location. We definitely plan to come back here again.
