Nice place to stay. Easy to access most things you want to. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of local culture and food. Only complaints were - lighting, bedroom ceiling light out.rest was lamps in most of it and needed to be brighter. Livingroom tv did not work at all. Tv in bunkroom had an apple box hooked to it so it was uselss. Wifi did not work. It was like someone had done a factory reset on the router. Needed more towels only 4 were provided And there was no broom just a dust pan. That being said we came here for the beach so it was good place to sleep and fix food when needed. We didn't come to hang out in the duplex.

Parking was easy and private which is definitely a plus at the beach. The vrbo is 6 blocks from the beach and the owner does provide a variety of beach cruiser bikes with locks, and a basket for you to use. Some of the bikes were rusty so it was difficult to adjust the seat, but they were very fun to ride.The Vrbo itself was very clean and quite tastefully decorated. The host provided plenty of towels and toiletries, a full kitchen with all basic utensils and a variety of dry spices as well. The fan in the kitchen didn't have a remote, but once we realized we could turn the AC off heat to cool it wasnt a problem at all. The host also provided plenty of extra beach towels, board games, adult coloring books, literature, beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys. She also kept an extra quilt which came in handy because me and my partner fight over blankets.The TV in the master bedroom was a little difficult to get to work. The remote was very finicky, but the tv in the living room worked beautifully. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable, as was the couch. The Vrbo is wheelchair accessible for the most part, and the owner keeps a service dog tether on the fridge. My partner is disabled and it was very nice to see her happy that someone preemptively provided accessibility features. The host was very responsive to any questions or issues we had. She even recommended some local events to try.

The check-in process was smooth and easy. The location was very convenient to different shops, restaurants and the beach. There were a few minor issues however they didn’t effect our stay. Most definitely will be booking here again.

This was the cutest little cottage--perfect for me and my two grandsons for spring break. The beach is within walking distance. Many restaurants and coffee shops only a stone's throw away.

Clean and comfy, updated kitchen and bath... very nice! Great location with lots to walk to nearby. We've stayed here twice now and would definitely rent again

Couldn’t have been a more perfect place! Stayed here with our three kids and the location was amazing. Penny was responsive and the bike guy was super helpful! We never used the car because everything was walking or biking distance. For parents - no dishwasher or laundry so prepare for that. They provide (as of 2025) bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, limited towels (beach and shower), the coffee maker is a K cup machine, tvs in every room.

Check in and out process was super easy, everything about the apartment was clean and well maintained. Location in the vibe district was great, low noise, area itself was clean, and the apartment is right next to a few little cafe/restaurants. A very easy walk to the beach, and for a great price to rent for a full week. Would recommend this place to family and friends.

Very nice place. Penny was very helpful and responsive. Short walk to the beach and bikes on property were a nice touch and made for some unexpected fun for the family.

This house was the perfect size for our family of four. It’s very nicely decorated/furnished and in a nice, quiet area of town- close enough to be within walking distance of the beach, boardwalk, and restaurants, but far enough away that you’re not right in the center of the crowds and noise. A couple things that could be improved- the sheets and bath towels seemed to not be very clean. Beds had been made and towels looked new, but the sheets had hair and some dirt in them. Some of the towels also had hair sticking to them. Also, the owner’s policy is to only give the code for the house after the cleaning lady is finished on check-in day. We still didn’t have the access code after check-in time had passed. I did receive it then fairly quickly once I messaged the owner about it- she said her wifi wasn’t working well to send it, which I do understand, but sending it the day before seems to be a more standard procedure and would prevent situations like that from happening. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. It’s a nice place for a cheaper price since it’s further away from the beach- just be prepared to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the beachfront!

Loved being so close to the beach it was a cute and peaceful experience it was a nice area .

This rental is a great value for its price! The location was fantastic; super close to the beach and a few food spots a flea market. The bedrooms, bathroom, & living area were great but the kitchen left a bit to be desired. I’d recommend washing dishware before using. Also, we were bummed to find that the bikes are unusable—all three had issues (flat tire, broken chain, jammed kickstand). Overall we did really enjoy our stay!

Location is great for local food and experiences as many fantastic restaurants are located within walking distance. I appreciated the note for visitors as to what is suggested locally. Though we didn't use the bikes (the primary mode of transportation in VA Beach as we learned, it was a nice option to have for guests.

This was our first family vacation and this was a perfect spot. Great distance from everything. Mostly within walking distance of most things or a very short drive !

This is a very nice first floor apartment with convenient parking and very walkable to the boardwalk. The beds were very comfortable!

Stayed for wrestling event at Virginia sports center. Was within walking distance of event and plenty of options for entertainment/ food. Host was honest and open with communication...price seemed fair.

We enjoyed our stay in this rental. Good neighborhood, close to everything including a coffee shop and restaurants. Lots of upgrades throughout. Clean sheets and bedding. Stain-free couch! Plenty of parking. Much better staying in a place like this versus a hotel. Could not figure out the television, but other than that it was very nice. Owners have put a lot of work into it.

Great time very clean

The place was conveniently located and worked perfectly for my needs. I was in town visiting family & needed space and good WiFi for remote working. Check in was smooth and good communication.

My wife, two children, and I planned a weekend trip to the beach and this place was great. There was easy parking, plenty of towels, clean linens. The layout worked well for having our kids sleep in a separate room. The beds were too soft for my wife but were fine for me. We drove down to 16th Street and parked at a business all day while we went to the beach and it worked out well. The only issue was the wifi information was old, but they communicated back quickly to just get the updated info from the new router in the living room

Host was very responsive and no issues for our stay. Everything was as described and it’s a quick straight shot to walk to the beach. House was comfortable and spacious. Did not realize a flea market was taking place literally in the backyard the night we checked in so we ended up short on parking til the flea market cleared but that’s not the host’s fault as our parking was clearly marked private. Little bit of dust on bunk beds and a couple dead bugs in cabinet but everything else was clean. Plenty of dining and entertainment within walking distance. Easy check in and out.

The description of the house was exactly as described ave the property was clean. The only thing i would say is needed would be an outside light because the front was extremely dark.

We had a wonderful stay here! Check in, the cleanliness, and the location was perfect! We used the bikes to get to most places, perfect biking distance! Penelope responded to any of our questions very quickly as well!! I highly recommend this place if you are staying in the area!
