We were looking for somewhere where our whole family could all stay. There were 9 adults and 5 grandchildren. This amazing house catered for all our needs. The vast open plan main room; with a huge dining table, plenty of sofas and a great kitchen, gave plenty of space for us all to be together. The bedrooms were all well sized and comfortable. The large garden gave plenty of space for the youngsters to let off steam. The hot tub was also a welcome addition. The opportunity to get our whole family together in such a beautiful house was truly amazing.

a comfortable house with plenty of space for the whole family , nice garden with hot tub , sauna room , only 10 minutes drive from the marvelous beaches between Cap Griz Nez and Blanc Nez . Well equipped kitchen . Lovely host , plenty of info of the area and things to see and do. Minus : isolation you can hear every step and sound due to the lack of isolation and wooden floors . Recommendation: to install a bathroom with a bad , washing the babies and the youngest children in a shower or in the kitchen sink is not so easy :)

Hi Sofie, A quick message to say what a wonderful home you have! We had the most wonderful weekend and choose the wine for our upcoming wedding, which we were able to do sat in the sun in the garden for most part of Saturday the weather was so great. Everything you've done to the house is outstanding - we simply didn't have the time to use the sauna and bar area but would love to return! For future guests - do not hesitate to book this property, it sits in the middle of beautiful countryside where you can walk to a local village / lake and enjoy the surroundings. The hot tub was enjoyed by the whole group and is perfectly located at the end of the garden. The wifi and Sonos sound system(s!) were an added bonus to enjoy music during our stay! The dining area was beautiful and what a stunning open plan living area. Can't fault this property... next time we'll be back to enjoy the sauna and the bar. Thank you for your hospitality. I was staying at the house with my family ( 6 + 2 Kids) this summer. The house was just perfect! Almost every bedroom has its on bathroom, the kitchen and the living room are really big and everything is nice and clean. Location is also good. Dirk and Sofie are great and they took care of everything. Thx again!

In July/August 2016 we spend two wonderful weeks in this lovely renovated house near the fantastic beaches of the Cote d´Opale in Northern France. We were a total of 9 people with different needs due to age and health (one blind person vs. active children), and we were all very satisfied with the house, the garden, the winter garden and the extra-facilities, like a sauna and a hot tub. The house is extremely well equipped (washing machine, dish-washer, big flat screen, family sofa, 2 refrigerators, hoover etc.) and cooking in the big and open kitchen, with so many pots and pans, spices/herbs and other kitchen devices, was just like cooking at home. The garden is big enough for playing outdoor-games like football or volleyball in small groups. Also our dog enjoyed running around in the garden, which is perfectly surrounded by fences and bushes. We definitely give an extra plus for the amount of bath-rooms and toilets - 1 bathroom and toilet for the room downstairs, 1 toilet downstairs next to the entrance of the house, 4 bathrooms upstairs (for 5 rooms) with a total of 3 toilets. This makes it really comfortable for everyone in the morning, even for 10 guests. About the surrounding: there is a big Inter-Marche in 2 km distance, but there are also plenty of small villages with markets and shops nearby (Audreselle, Wissant, Amleteuse, ...) where you can also find lovely restaurants, especially very good fish-restaurants. We loved walking with the dog at the sandy and very calm beaches (Tardinghen´s plage and les dunes de slack were our favorites), but be aware that swimming in the atlantic ocean is for the tough ones only (very windy and lower temperatures than the Mediterranean)! The sunsets at Cap Griz-Nez (about 10min by car from the house) and Cap Blanc-Nez (about 20min by car from the house) were breath-taking, and sometimes we could also see the cliffs from dover on the other side of the channel. This region of France is not crowded by tourists and the locals seem to be extremely friendly to visitors. A basic knowledge of French is recommended, as hardly anybody speaks English or other languages. At the end a very little negative comment on the house: the house itself is very clairaudient and the staircase creaks quite loud. So if you get up in the morning earlier than the other guests, you have to be super-careful not to wake up the rest of the house. Dirk and Sofie were great and friendly hosts with many suggestions for a perfect stay.
