Challenge yourself and hike the many mountains nearby and be rewarded with the best scenery Northern Ireland can offer. brDuring the summer months, we are lucky to have the Mourne Rambler bus service. Check Translink for local bus service. Taxi from Kilkeel is approx. £5 - Joe's Taxi 02841763793. If you are coming from Dublin please check out the Scenic Carlingford Ferry (Huge Time Saver!!). We offer a range of rooms to suit every need including single, double, twin, quad and family rooms, all en-suite. Some of our rooms have large king size beds. For the budget traveller, we also have beds in shared dorms. brMeals are served at The Mourne Lodge. Continental breakfasts are always available each morning. Cooked breakfasts should be ordered in advance as we try to serve only the best fresh local ingredients. Evening dinners and packed lunches are also available on request. The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a kettle, a small freezer, a microwave and all the usual utensils. brbrJim’s barn is the perfect snug place to relax, particularly after a day of mountain walking! Pop something tasty in the oven, soak in the bath and then curl up by the stove to read a book or watch a movie on your favourite streaming service. brbrThere is one bedroom in Jim’s barn which is tastefully decorated with a comfy double bed.
