Bi-fold doors to the rear allow natural light to flood in, while a standout circular wood burner creates a warm and inviting focal point. The lounge area is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, with comfortable seating and an internet only TV for evenings in. The stylish kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with a double electric oven and induction hob, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, fresh coffee bean machine and washer/dryer. The property is set back from the Main Road by a long driveway.brbrThe East Wing is available to let to Families. It's located to the rear of the Main House alongside a stream and approached by a wooden bridge with its own private parking area. Providing approx. 3,911 ft2 of accommodation. It's light and airy with large sash windows. The property benefits from underfloor heating and oak flooring throughout.brbrThe open plan sitting room has leather chesterfield sofas and oak furniture. A 65 flat screen TV and a sound bar which can also playback music from a Mobile Phone via. It also has a large flat screen TV with Amazon Fire Stick. The gym overlooks the swimming pool via a large glass curtain wall.brbrThe swimming pool area extends over 340 ft2 (excluding the pool), has remote control Colour Mood Lighting (both in the pool and within the glass lantern), ornate tiling & surround sound making it ideal for small social & family gatherings. There is a projector in the pool connected to Amazon Fire Stick. There's a large dinning and social area for 18+ people alongside the pool with further seating outside on the grounds.brbrThe pool itself is 32 x 13 feet. It has a large glass lantern above it; perfect for a late night swim under the stars. It's salt water chlorinated (found in top end spas !) which is softer on your skin. It has both a shallow and deep end which is great for children. It has a underwater colour lighting. It's heated and kept nice and warm throughout the year. There are also several inflatables to keep the kids entertained for hours. Guests are advised to bring plastic cups to prevent any accidents.brbrThe pool area opens up with large bi-fold doors onto several acres of private & secluded gardens.brbrThere is also a large trampoline on the grounds for the children to enjoy. There is also a separate shower and changing area in the swimming pool area. Honestly, you'll spend most of the time in there as it has a real wow factor (see the Reviews) !brbrThere is also a Slate Pool Table to keep adults entertained.brbrGuests are provided with towels. The mattresses are anti-allergen. We also use pillow and duvet case protectors for added peace of mind.brbrGuest accessbrGuests have use of the entire East Wing, Gym, Swimming Pool and grounds to the west inc. woodland. Its all connected internally via corridors and completely private. If you are in any doubt please contact me before booking.brbrIf you are thinking of throwing a full blown house party with lots of guests...it isn't going to happen. The booking will come to an end immediately and you will get lumbered with a huge bill for additional guests and any damages without exception.brbrThe space is completely private and is all connected through corridors so you wont need to wander outside to get anywhere.brbrThe Cleaning Costs may appear high but the property is very large and it does include cleaning the pool and all the chemicals used to balance it.brbrParts of the building are being refurbished; in particular the grounds and driveway. No works will occur during your stay as your privacy is important to us.brbrWe have broadband but its more of a rural broadband with limited bandwidth (8mps). The more people on the network...the slower it gets. The same goes for Mobile Network unless you are on Vodafone.brbrAs we are close to the Heathrow Airport please expect some airplane noise that is noticeable outside.brbrWe employ CCTV towards the driveway and the front of the Main House for added security. The property itself has a intruder alarm system and smoke detector system connected via central station.

Step inside where everything is on the ground floor, catering to all ages and abilities. The warm and bright living room has lovely comfortable sofas and a gas fire, perfect for those cooler evenings, however in the summer throw open the French doors and let the warm breeze flow in. The kitchen is open-plan with the dining area, with the former being extremely well equipped, while the bright and welcoming dining area is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal at any time of the day! Off the hallway, you will find the bedrooms, both finished to a high standard with cream and oak furniture, as well as a TV in each. The large shower room has a fantastic walk-in shower with both a large rainfall shower head and a handheld head for ease. Underfloor heating features throughout, making Whitney Cottage the perfect choice for your next break at any time of the year! A dog is welcome to come and stay ,but please take note that under no circumstances that dogs must not be left unattended at any time in the cottage.brbrJust a 10-minute walk away you have the local bar and restaurant, which serves a range of local food and drink, or hop in the car to another pub, just a 5-minute drive, which serves gorgeous wood-fired pizzas and an amazing Sunday lunch. A 7-minute drive is another pub which serves a wonderful mix of traditional English and Caribbean foods. You will be spoilt for choice with things to do while staying at Whitney Cottage, with miles of walks from your doorstep exploring Somerset’s countryside. Venture further afield to one of the many National Trust properties nearby such as Montacute House and Barrington Court.
