In Shrewsbury there are so many but here are some I like. For more fine dining we would recommend The Walrus or Lion and Pheasant or Hencote has a beautiful view over the town, this is a short drive out of the town. Italian - La Dolce Vita or Osteria Da Paolo. For a good curry The Curry House or Avatar. Pizza - Dough & Oil. The Istanbul Restaurant has a wide selection of charcoal grills. The Olive Tree or Casa Naranjo for Tapas. House of the Rising Sun and The Armoury are always firm favourites, along with Cote. And not forgetting The Boat House, which has a great outdoor space and overlooks the river. Number Four does a great brunch. We also like Hickory's and have a Nando's and a Harvester near the cinema.brbrLocal Attractions brThe house is located within a 10-minute drive of the historic town of Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury has over 600 listed buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries. Unfortunately in the 1960s, some historic buildings were demolished to make way for a very different architectural style and I am sure you will spot these buildings. Just remember when you are walking around to look up. A walk past the train station, castle, and old library building is worth seeing. And The Quarry Park, which is a beautiful 29-acre parkland providing the perfect place to relax, enjoy walks, picnic, or play a game of ball with the family. At the heart of the Quarry lies the Dingle, a floral masterpiece cultivated by world-renowned gardener Percy Thrower, who served as Parks Superintendent for 28 years. It's a delightful sunken garden landscaped with alpine borders, shrubbery, and charming water features that is worth a wander around. We also hold many festivals in the Quarry, check to see what is on. Shrewsbury Prison is worth a visit and has featured on many TV series. The Shropshire hills which are an Area of Natural beauty are only a short drive away, easy there is access to Mid Wales. Ironbridge Gorge and Museums. For more fine dining we would recommend The Walrus or Lion and Pheasant which are located in town or Hencote has a beautiful view over the town. Italian - La Dolce Vita or Osteria Da Paolo. For a good curry The Curry House or Avatar. Pizza - Dough & Oil. The Istanbul Restaurant has a wide selection of charcoal grills. Momo's Noodle Bar is nice. The Olive tree or Casa Naranjo for Tapas. House of the Rising Sun and The Armoury is always firm favourites, along with Cote. And not forgetting The Boat House, which has a great outdoor space and overlooks the river. Number Four does a great brunch. We also like Hickory's and have a Nando's and a Harvester near the cinema There are also many cafes, in the town, at the back of the Square we like the more traditional Gallery tea room. Or Ginger & Co, where you can watch the world go by. Don’t forget to check out the local Market Hall, where you can eat, drink and shop for local produce.brbrLocal Attractions brA 10-minute drive from the house will take you into the historic town of Shrewsbury, which has a whopping 600listed buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries. Unfortunately in the 1960s, some historic buildings were demolished to make way for a very different architectural style and I am sure you will spot these buildings. A walk past the train station, castle, and old library building is worth seeing if you like historic buildings. If you follow the river, you will come to The Quarry Park, which is a beautiful 29-acre parkland providing the perfect place to relax, enjoy walks, picnic, or play a game of ball with the family. At the heart of the Quarry lies the Dingle, a floral masterpiece cultivated by world-renowned gardener Percy Thrower, who served as Parks Superintendent for 28 years. It's a delightful sunken garden landscaped with alpine borders, shrubbery, and charming water features that is worth a wander around. Set over five floors offering spacious accommodation with fantastic views over the River Severn and Shrewsbury town, the perfect escape for you to relax with family and friends.brbrThe spacebrEntering the property, small stairs will lead you down into a spacious fully equipped kitchen breakfast room and large larder with plenty of storage, cosy snug with fire which leads out onto a large patio area with an outside dining area, overlooking the Kingsland Bridge and River Severn to enjoy those morning coffees. The snug leads to a dining area that will seat eight.brbrOn the first floor is a large comfortable living area, again with views over the River and an office for those needed to work from home, while away from home.brbrOn the second floor, there are two double bedrooms, both with king-size beds. The spacious master bedroom benefits from an ensuite bathroom with bath and separate shower. There is also a second bedroom with king-size bed, both rooms have plenty of storage.brbrOn the top floor, there are a further three bedrooms all with double beds and two having working space also. For more fine dining we would recommend The Walrus or Lion and Pheasant or Hencote has a beautiful view over the town, this is a short drive out of the town. Italian - La Dolce Vita or Osteria Da Paolo. For a good curry The Curry House or Avatar. Pizza - Dough & Oil. The Istanbul Restaurant has a wide selection of charcoal grills. The Olive Tree or Casa Naranjo for Tapas. House of the Rising Sun and The Armoury are always firm favourites, along with Cote. And not forgetting The Boat House, which has a great outdoor space and overlooks the river. Number Four does a great brunch. We also like Hickory's and not forgetting The Market Hall, where you can eat and shop for local produce.brbrLocal Attractions brThe house is located right in the centre of the historic town of Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury has over 600 listed buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries. Unfortunately in the 1960s, some historic buildings were demolished to make way for a very different architectural style and I am sure you will spot these buildings. Just remember when you are walking around to look up. A walk past the train station, castle, and old library building is worth seeing. If you go straight across the road from the front door you will come to the Quarry Park, which is a beautiful 29-acre parkland providing the perfect place to relax, enjoy walks, picnic, or play a game of ball with the family. At the heart of the Quarry lies the Dingle, a floral masterpiece cultivated by world-renowned gardener Percy Thrower, who served as Parks Superintendent for 28 years. It's a delightful sunken garden landscaped with alpine borders, shrubbery, and charming water features that is worth a wander around. This large but cosy family home is suitable for families, couples, friends or those wanting a home from homestay, while away on business.brThe spacebrOur home is fully equipped and includes a cosy sitting room, kitchen with lots of storage and a large conservatory with a large dining table that will seat six. Upstairs the main bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room and plenty of storage space. The second bedroom has a kingsize bed, again with plenty of storage and the third bedroom has two single beds. The family bathroom has a bath with handheld showerhead and are supplied with Elsy Natural Look toiletries.brbrWe also have a lockable garage if you are wanting to store any outdoor equipment.brGuest accessbrOur home is about a 20-minute walk from the historic town center and the train station.brWe have space for two cars on our drive away and another space in front of the house on the road if necessary.brOther things to notebrWell-behaved dogs are welcome at a charge of £20 per dog.
