Family or friends suite for up to 4 people

Ilhabela, São Paulo, Brazil

We are located on the main island of the Ilhabela Archipelgo, in the southern part to the right of the ferry, 8km away, in front of a small square. Our neighborhood is called Ribeirão but it is better known as Bexiga, a growing neighborhood with good infrastructure. We are on Rua da Cachoeira do Paquetá. We host as a seasonal rental.brbrThe suite has an independent entrance and free parking for up to 7 vehicles. The power from the sockets is standard 110V. We have a double bed plus a bunk bed, we do not have additional beds nor can we exchange the double bed for two single beds. Three blocks away we have supermarkets, a pharmacy and the neighborhood has restaurants, bars and pizzerias. We are close to Grande, Julião, Veloso and Curral beaches, the most popular on the island. Bring repellents. Beach bars and restaurants provide tables and chairs for a minimum charge, but you can bring your own chairs, umbrellas and coolers. We recommend that you come by your own vehicle to enjoy the tourist attractions and beauty of Ilhabela, but there are buses that stop on the avenue 150 meters away and taxis available that depart from the ferry.brbrbrbrWhat makes our place special is its proximity to the Ribeirão waterfalls, which pass 50 meters away. Cachoeirra do Paquetá (see Goolgle) is one of the most beautiful on the entire coast, with easy access on foot from our location, a must-see.brbrWe still have parking and next to it a leisure area with kitchen and barbecue with stove and kitchen utensils for family and friends to prepare coffee, lunch and a good barbecue.brbrThe beaches can be reached on foot and the closest, Curral, is 700 meters away.brbrAccess to the suite is from the parking lot via stairs to the top floor. All guests will have keys to the suite, the staircase railing and the parking gate.brbrOnce installed, you can leave and arrive at any time, respecting the silence at night.brbrGuests are welcomed by us, Ivete and Danilo, owners who live next door.brbrFor any eventuality or need, we will always be available, in person or via WhatsApp cell phone.brbrIlhabela is located on the north coast of São Paulo, 90 km from Ubatuba, 200 km from the city of São Paulo, 170 km from Paraty and 450 km from the city of Rio de Janeiro. The main route for those who want to visit Ilhabela is the ferry that leaves from São Sebastião and serves as the only means of public transport between the mainland and Ilhabela. Cars and motorbikes can also cross the ferry, meaning if you have a car, you can travel around Ilhabela with it.brbrTo get to Ilhabela, you will need to use two different means of transport. This is because the ferry departs from São Sebastião and there are no airports in the region (only helipads). In other words, travel by road will be mandatory for almost all tourists, with the exception of those who use a private boat, helicopter or are already staying in São Sebastião.brbrThe best airports to access Ilhabela for those living outside the state of São Paulo are: São José dos Campos Airport (SJK), 113 km away; Guarulhos Airport (GRU), 187 km away; Congonhas Airport (CGH) and Viracopos Airport (VCP), located in Campinas and 285 km from Ilhabela. From the three airports, you will need to travel to the city of São Sebastião, where the ferry leaves for Ilhabela.brbrThe ferry that crosses the continent to Ilhabela departs from the city of São Sebastião and transports both passengers and vehicles. There are no bridges or airports connecting Ilhabela to the mainland, so the ferry is the most common means of getting between the two. The ferry is available 24 hours a day, every day of the week, with intervals that vary, on average, from half an hour to an hour.brbrTo cross the ferry to Ilhabela, simply go through the toll gate (as if it were a toll booth) and follow the queue for the ferry. Drivers are instructed on where to stop their vehicle and the crossing only takes thirty minutes. Without a queue, the whole process will be very quick. The problem occurs on days with a large flow of tourists, such as holidays and school vacation periods, when queues for the crossing can take hours. In these cases, the most recommended option is to pay for the scheduled service, in which you define the ferry crossing time in advance and avoid queuing. Of course, convenience comes at a price: the crossing to Ilhabela by appointment costs almost four times more than the normal crossing. On the other hand, there will be no waiting hours.brbrFerry operationbrbrSão Sebastião to IlhabelabrbrEvery day: 11:10 pm; 11:30 pm; 0h; 0:10; 1:15 am; from 2am to 5am, with a maximum break of one hour; from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm, with a maximum interval of half an hour.brbrIlhabela to São SebastiãobrbrEvery day: 11:10 pm; 11:30 pm; 0h; 0:30; 0:45; 1h40; from 2:30 am to 5:30 am, with a maximum break of one hour; from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm, with a maximum interval of half an hour.brbrAnyone traveling to the north coast of São Paulo by car needs to take some precautions. The roads are of excellent quality, but with a lot of tolls and full of radars for speed control. There are so many that it is common for drivers to accumulate enough points to lose their driver's license on the same trip. Pay attention to electronic inspection warnings and do not exceed the speed of the stretch of road. It is extremely common to get fines on the roads heading towards the north coast of São Paulo.brbrAnother factor that must be observed when traveling is the high season period in Ilhabela and the entire coast of SP. On busy days, it is common for the road to be highly congested and the ferry crossing to take hours, forming kilometer-long queues of cars trying to reach Ilhabela. In this case, try to avoid the busiest times on the road and prefer to buy the ferry pass by appointment. The cost will be higher, but the waiting time will be fine.
