Snowdonia woodland retreat - stunning views & private woodland

Machynlleth, Machynlleth, United Kingdom

An 18th-century converted stone farmhouse tucked away in a hidden Snowdonia valley. The house sleeps 7 and enjoys far-reaching views of the Dyfi valley and a private woodland - it's the perfect base for hiking, biking and exploring the National Park.brbrThe property has a separate annex that sleeps an extra 2 with its own kitchen, snug, bathroom, entrance and terrace - it's perfect for multi-generational groups and can be included in the booking, just message me for details.brbrNestled in the hills, with fields below and woodland above, the only noise you might hear is the roar of fighter jets running the Mach Loop. Other than that, and the occasional escaped sheep, you'll never be disturbed. With your own private woodland and hillside viewing platform, this is the perfect place to rest and recharge amongst nature. The platform, equipped with a BBQ, firepit, outdoor speakers and table, has unobstructed views of the rolling Welsh hills by day, and by night, a spectacular view of the stars (we're in an International Dark Sky Area).brbrThe house is very secluded but not remote. It's a 20-minute drive to the charming towns of Machynlleth and Dolgellau, each of which has plenty of pubs, shops, cafes and supermarkets. To the west, you can get to the fabulous beaches of Barmouth and Aberdovey in 45 minutes.brbrThere are two lovely local pubs within walking distance. For those who love to walk or cycle, Snowdonia offers some incredible hiking and biking trails and I'd be happy to give some personal recommendations (there is also a locked bike store on site with electric).brbrThe property comes with 6 lovely ladies who will provide you with half a dozen fresh eggs daily - don't worry they require no maintenance!brbrThis is my family home, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Bear in mind, it is an old farmhouse, and whilst it has everything you need, it comes with its quirks and requires you treat it with care.brbrYou will have access to the entire property. Internally, this includes a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms (two doubles, one with a double and a single), two bathrooms, an ensuite and a utility room.brbrExternally, there is a recently refurbished BBQ area with seating and a firepit, 5 acres of private woodland, a private and secluded drive and an outside seating area perfect for watching the sun go down.brbrOther things to notebrThere is a separate annexe, that I may or may not be staying in.
