Xanadu has a lot of character and personal style; this house definitely makes a memorable experience. The main living space has a large, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. The focal point of the room is the tall stone fireplace which runs up to the mezzanine hallway. The living room has a huge L shaped sofa, which is so comfortable and social. Or sink into the two tub chairs opposite which are truly one of a kind.brbrAfter a long day at the local beach, relax with a movie on the Smart TV which has Freeview channels and a Netflix app for use with guests’ own account (log out at end of stay). Behind the tub chairs is an antique boat bar. This is a real statement to the room and also includes the very essential captain’s hat. This room is a great space to entertain. The other side of the living room there is a round dining table which seats six. The owner loves interior design, so you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled for some of the quirky antiques and wall art. The dining room also has large patio doors which open onto the private and fenced back garden. If you’ve brought the dog, then this is a great place for them to enjoy the sun. You’ll need to prioritise having a family meal around the outdoor oak table.brbrThe kitchen is very well kitted out, everything you would need to cook a family meal during your stay. A classic Range Master is in the kitchen, the previous owner was a professional chef, so the appliances are definitely top notch! The kitchen has a dishwasher, cooker, double oven, fridge, wine fridge and freezer so you really do have everything you need in your home away from home. There’s even a pod Nespresso Coffee Machine, so you can have the finest coffee to take the edge off any potential holiday hangovers.brbrOn the ground floor, there’s a twin bedroom with a full bathroom next door. The bathroom has a large shower with accessibility handles and a seat. This is perfect if you’re going away with your grandparents or someone with limited mobility. It’s not quite wide enough for a wheelchair, but you don’t need to climb any stairs if you’re in the ground floor bedroom. Up the stairs you’ll find the remaining two bedrooms. The master has a unique layout, there is the main door, or you can access it through the walk-in wardrobe. There is plenty of storage space for the master bedroom. The master room has a kingsize bed, it’s very comfortable and overlooks the garden, this is a very peaceful room.brbrThe family bathroom has a bathtub with a shower as well, perfect for some potentially sandy children! The other bedroom on the first floor is the bunk bed room, kids always adore this room. The bottom bunk is very close to the ground so it’s perfect for younger children.
