Here you can sit and watch the fisherman bring in the catch of the day and even buy fresh fish at the quayside shop. Sunday mornings on the harbour is host to a popular Sunday market selling a mixture of goods and popular with the locals. Once parked up at your apartment you can walk everywhere you need to go whether it is to the park with the children, the small beach with the little beach huts, or the shops and pubs it’s all near by. Stroll from the door over to Warkworth where the castle sits on the hillside overlooking the pretty picture postcard village with some little tea rooms and bespoke shops, perhaps have lunch or an evening meal. The train station at Alnmouth is only 4 miles where you can hop on for a day trip to Edinburgh, York or Newcastle. Alnwick is a 15-minute drive, home to the Duke of Northumberland who resides in the castle which has been used for some scenes in Downton Abbey and Harry Potter, the cobbled streets and history make for a memorable day out.
