Fine and varied domestic architecture abounds; beautiful clusters of houses in hamlets & villages often perched, like the medieval château, on prominent strategic points above the rivers. Within a few kilometres of Najac, one finds great variety of interest, Roman bridges, abandoned copper mines, & bastide towns like Villefranche-de-Rouergue, & Cordes. We recommend April, May, June, Sept and Oct for walking. Bird watching here is excellent. Canoeing, rock climbing, & other sports are available.
